My hats off to those of you who value your families/children enough to DRIVE to your vacation destination! I don't think I"ll be taking a road trip for a very good long time.....if EVER!
Hello and welcome to the DIS! Hubby and I live in PA and take the Auto Train to Disney World. It leaves Lorton, VA at 2 PM and arrives Sanford, FL next day at 8 AM. Private bedroom is a great way to go and at night it's only slightly Marx-Brother-ish. Lots of fun and an adventure in itself.
Welcome to the DIS Boards! My dream has always been to drive cross country and take my time. I love to see it all! Don't know if that will ever happen.
We drove once to WDW in 2005 to take my disabled brother. His dream was WDW and we took the Auto Train the first time (2003) and drove the second time as he wanted to go back one more time and refuses to get on an airplane. It would have been alot better if hubby would have agreed to stay overnight halfway to WDW!!
Anyway, I look at driving as part of the journey and it seems fun to me most of the time!
I am in the midst of planning my 22.5 hour drive from Toronto to WDW in early December. Mapping out the drive is a tedious process. My two dd's love the drive - they are 8 and 4.
Hey we are looking for a clean place to stay on our way down there. Any suggestions??
Driving across country is snap. The problem is driving though TEXAS( man does it take forever)....We drove to WDW in May (MOM, DAD, SIS, & my Twin Toddlers) and we had a great time.
Thank You!!
She was a GREAT grandma!!! even though she had lots of grankids she never ever forgot our b-days and loved each and everyone of us the same. She was an awesome lady. It's been a tough 11 days but I know she is in a better place.
