so we are driving to Disney with our 2 kids (2 & 5). Our 2 y.o. Just turned 2 and he's still rear facing & I want him to remain rear facing. We have a built in DVD player in our van for the 5 year old. We do have a regular portable DVD player-- does anyone have any suggestions for securing it to the headrest so my son can watch some mickey mouse on the drive down?

When we were kids, we had one of those tiny TV/VCR combos. My parents used a bungee cord to strap it to the top of our cooler for the 27 hour drive to Disney, lol.

We were able to buy a holder for our iPad, it's basically Velcro and some clips as pp suggested. I'm sure you could fashion something similar!

Keep in mind that in the event of a wreck, anything that isn't very, very secure is going to go flying. However you choose to secure it, make sure you do it very well cause any object flying at 70 mph into your kids head is going to be a bigger problem than if the child were forward facing in their carseat. I'm not trying to scare you, just want you think about that when you are making decisions on how to it.

We had one of those TV/VCR combos too as a kid and I remember being allowed to not wear a seatbelt in the van cause we were "safe if we were in the back" lol! Ahh, the good ole days.

I would agree that either elastic or velcro would be best. I might also just put it in an OtterBox type case and let him hold it.
