Well, since we moved here, I'm jobless. I haven't tried that hard to look for a job here yet, but it is probably kind of too late. I imagine all the schools already have their staff for the next school year, seeing as school starts next month! I might look into subbing. My youngest DD starts Kinder this year and I want to be around more to help in her classroom and stuff, like I got to do for the other 2.

well that sounds like a fine idea. If you can afford to do so I say by all means stay home for the kiddos. there are plenty of things to do since you just moved I'm sure. And I also think it will ease the transition of a new home and new schools for your kids if you are there to help them out. I'm a child of a single mom so I didn't get that, but I think I would have liked it. I didn't like daycare that much.

Where in Columbus did you grow up? I was born and raised there too. I graduated from Eastmoor High School. I lived on the far east side.

It's a small world. I was just thinking about taking the kids up to see my mom. They haven't seen her in awhile.

That is a coincidence! I know Eastmoor. A couple people I used to know went there. I went to Brookhaven high school. It was on the north side off of Karl road-where the old Northland mall used to be. So good to meet a former columbasan. Where do you live now?

My DSIL graduated from Brookhaven but she was 4-5 years ahead of me like my DBro.

My BF from HS is the band director there now. Julie Vish. What year did you graduate?

I graduated in 1999. I don't know Julie Vish. When I was there it was..someone else. I don't remember. I was a choir geek so never took band

Living here in GA and had 2 kids and 2 marriages. The kids are from the 2nd marriage (thank goodness) and it's still going strong.
