Drive to Clearwater

Hello all,

With our next trip just 3 weeks away I have a question.

As we are planning a day out on Clearwater Beach , has anyone recently driven there from Orlando?

We have done the trip a couple of times in the past but I have heard at the moment there are bad roadworks on the route through to Tampa, has anyone been and noticed any delays?

So far the traffic congestion hasn't been too bad on I-4 from Orlando to Tampa since they finally opened up one of the other exits near the interchange.

The Spring Break crowds should be better by the time of your arrival.

Hello Johnnysharp!


Being an Evertonian I shouldn't be telling you this but forget clearwater, get your red #### down to treasure island, park/or stay at the Bilmar hotel and witness the best beach I have ever seen. Also plenty going on in the Bilmar in the evening.
