We've always stayed in that area, and 15 minutes is about right. 8-9 am, the traffic is little heavier on Irlo Bronson, but otherwise, it's an easy trip. AK is even closer, if you take the back road.

That's a good estimate especially if after you get on the 192, turn left on Sherberth Road and that will take you onto property right near AKL. I've made it from the intersection of the 192 and 27, much further west than Formosa, to Contemporary in less than 30 minutes in mid-afternoon traffic.

We stay in Formosa Gardens all the time - super great neighborhood and about as close as you can be to the parks. It's much faster getting around than waiting for on property buses and the like.

I highly recommend this route. With no traffic at all, it's about 10 minutes to the TTA, but 192 can be very busy early in the morning and after the fireworks go off, and in a real jam can add 15 - 20 minutes to your drive. This route lets you skip almost all of 192, so get on Google Maps and familiarize yourself with this option before you go.

Be aware that these times are from Formosa Gardens to the MK Parking Lot. You still have Tram and Monorail/Ferry before you get the to gates. That'll take at least another 30 minutes.

Or, if you are running late such as we were for a BOG lunch, we valet parked at Contemp to save time... it's only $3 more + tip than parking in the MK lot.

Also, if you are headed to DHS, staying on the 192 to World Drive is quicker if the 192 traffic is flowing. DD takes this route to DHS where she is based as a CM but uses Sherberth for all other areas on Property.
