Drive or Monorail from MK to Epcot

This is a very basic question and you would think with all the Disney trips under my belt I would know the answer!

I will be doing the Little Ones EMH from 8am -9am at MK. I then wish to high-tail it over to Epcot to get there asap to Park Opening. My goal is to enter Epcot by about 9:20am or so.

1. Which would be faster: car or monorail?

2. If monorail is faster, would I be able to get into Epcot's parking lot to park and then take a monorail to the MK at around 7:30am (to be there for the 8am MK EMH) even though Epcot will not be opening that day until 9am?

I would say the Monorail is faster and from the Magic Kingdom you can take the Express Monorail to the TTC, change to the Epcot Monorail and you will get off at the front entrance to Future World.

It might be easier to park at the TTC. Then in the morning you can take the monorail over to the MK. After you are done at the MK take the monorail back to the TTC, get off that monorail and take the Epcot monorail.
