Me and my family (wife and 2 year old little girl "but well well mannered") are going to disney in march and we are driving from TN. my last 2 trips were plane trips. We will be staying at Disneys all stars movie resort from the 8th to the 17th and i was wanting to see what you all think save time by driving from park to park or stay in the magic and take the bus/monorail?

I think it really depends on how much you resort or park hop. If you are only going to visit two parks per day, I would go for Disney bus transportation. If you plan to eat at other resorts or park hop quite a lot, I would use the car. The only time the car doesn't save my family time is when we visit MK.

Hope this helps. I'm sure you'll get many other opinions to weigh! Have fun!

Bus to Magic Kingdom, as the resort buses take you right to the front gate, while driving still requires a ferry or monorail ride to get to the front gate. As for the other parks, the drive/bus decision is more of a toss up and you should do whatever works best for you.

We always drive. We took the bus a couple of times at POFQ and it always took a long time. We like driving because we are able to come and go when we please.

Definately bus to MK -- that's the only way!!

As far as the other parks, ah, it doesn't matter much. Personally, we drive most of the time.

Part of the magic for us is to only use WDW transportation! We never see our SUV until we leave!:goodvibes

Because its a vacation from stress for DH and I and because we didn't know (or want to know) the "how" to get around WDW in our van, we parked the darn thing the minute we got there from Illinois the one time we drove (never again:sad2: ). Never touched the keys until it was time to head home. I somehow think it would diminish the entire experience if we had popped in and out of our van all the time:hippie: Needless to say, we fly every year and so that's that

there is nothing magic about the Disney buses with a 2 year old...you should drive!

We usually always drive, especially if we are going to be there during a busy time. We are here right now over T-day week and the transportation is sooo busy! You say you are going in March - will it be during the last two weeks? If so that is spring break and WDW will be crowded and you may want to drive.

We usually drive from Maryland so we have a car available. But we generally use it as little as possible.

It's much easier to park-hop via Disney transportation rather than have to take the tram, return to the car (often hotter than you-know-where), drive to another park, park again, ride the tram, etc.

I think we usually take our van to DTD so we can throw our packages in the back and not have to carry them back on the bus (or boat).

We also take our van when we are eating at another resort. Resort-to-resort transportation always has to include a transfer at some hub, and it's usually not worth the time.

We don't have a toddler anymore, but I can remember how difficult it was to wait for the tram, pick up the child, fold the stroller, get back to the car and try to put that exhausted toddler into a carseat.:sad2:

We always use the transportation, and we park hop and eat at other resorts "a lot".

The couple trips I stayed offsite and had my car, it was a royal pain to always go back to the parking lot, find my car, and then drive it to the next park.

Hey Wilder Family, Well probably see there, just won't know it cause there'll be about 1,000 other people at ASMo! We're coming from MS and stayed at the OLD KEY WEST last time in '03...oh man that was the way to go! I wouldn't drive around looking for turns and parking places if you gave me a free nights stay in the caslte.........ummm, scratch that my 7 yr old daughter told me we would drive.....LOL!! Unless your in a hurry, I would ride....the bus drivers are full of info if your looking for some inside info. Have a great time till March and then have a safe trip!:yay: :thumbsup2
