DH and i were talking about a possible trip next spring, and he didn't want to get refillable mugs as it will be a 2-3 day trip. What will we drink in the food court? We've always taken our mugs there before, but do they sell one-time plastic cups if you don't have a mug, or what?

Thanks

no you have to hold you hands under the spigot( that looks wrong) or drink really fast ;) just kidding

actually last time we went they had the cardboardly like McDonald's like cups for cold and Styrofoam like with lids for hot stuff. I don't remember seeing any plastic taco bell large drink type cups if that was what you were wondering about but i had a refillable mug so could have missed them. you could buy none refillable cups that were plastic but they weren't free. ( i think they were in the gift shop)

I'll only be at Disney for only 4 days, 3 nights but I'm going to get the mug anyway. Originally I was going to do it so I could get coffee-fix, as well as get the kids soft drinks. The coffee made it worth the price to me. Then I found out about the Nescafe problem, so I decided to bring my own coffeemaker, buy soft drinks at the grocery store for the kids, and forego the refillable mug.

I've since changed my mind, not because I'll get my money's worth in soft drinks, but because the mug will serve as a cheap souvenier for my kids (since I don't want to spend a lot of $$ of junk souveniers that will get no use). I've also heard that some of the hotels allow you to refill with slushies, so if we decide to "sightsee" at some of the hotels in the evenings I can treat the kids to a "free" slushie.

ethical issue but last time we were there the mugs said for only that trip and only that resort so if you stay at say pop, the mug can't technically be used at por.

I was at all stars visiting friends that had flown down last week. I bought a regular cup and refilled it both days, but I'm not a good person. ;)

Yup, mugs are for use during the one visit you purchase them during, and at that one resort, only.

I always go for the bottled soday when I'm paying OOP at a food court. Easier to save the excess.

Please fill me in on the refillable mugs. Where do you buy them, how much do they cost, what is the price of refills, and everything else I need to know. Thanks.

Thank you for that link. So, you can not get them refilled at the parks?

That's correct.

The water parks have their own refillable mugs (separate purchase; only valid at the water park itself). The theme parks have no refillable mug offering.

how do they charge you? it is just like a regular coffee or what ever? am wondering as husband and i filled our refillable mugs then got a cup and transferred the contents( messy pain) cause we hate to drag the mugs all over creation once they are empty...duh, never thought about just showing the refillable mug and getting a disposable cup  hey it's pre morning coffee and we are really stupid then

I'm not sure, but they may frown upon giving you a disposable cup. I mean, part of the reason for refillable mugs is to save Disney the cost of disposable cups.

We've actually never had refillable mugs, yet I've never had any problem purchasing a cup of coffee at our resort.

I am not sure about plastic 1x use cups but i do know they sell bottled drinks...juice, milk, etc. not sure about soda though...they must.

Thank you! I didn't even realize there were bottled sodas at the food court, we'll go with those. Don't drink coffee, so that won't matter. Thanks again!
