Are counter service or table service drinks refillable/free refills? Are cups of ice water free? Can we bring our own cans of soda or bottles of water into the park?

CS: no free refills (maybe at the one or two places they have the fountain machine out by the tables, but not positive.

Ice water: yes free, also at many places you can refill your water bottles.

Bring in drinks: yes, exceptions are glass containers and alcohol.

How about hot water? My girls don't like cocoa, but they love their herbal peppermint tea.

Thanks!

Thank you, I had no idea you could refill your water bottles. My kids love water and go through it so quickly. Now I know we only have to bring one bottle each.

Hot water is free. Yes, you can get water all over the park from water fountains, but my family and I have found that the water all over the resort tastes terrible. We normally use a Brita pitcher at home, but always bring a case of bottled water to our hotel and use those in the park.

We went to Ralph's and I found 8 oz Diet Cokes that were so easy to throw in a bag and carry around!! especially With 1 bottled water in the bag, too!!

water bottles can be brough to park at Disneylan in rancho del zocalo there is free filtered water you can use to refill your water bottle--and it is pretty cold!

sodas i am not sure about.

Yes u can bring in bottled waters andbottled sodas. We have an insulated backpack we bring in the park and we keep sodas in there all day in the locker and they stay cold all day long and it saves us lots of $$$$...

If you are eating at a TS restaurant you will get free refills on anything. That includes soda, iced tea and hot tea, if you order hot tea you will get multiple tea bags to chose from along with water, honey and sugar packets, you can also get more hot water upon request and more tea bags as well. If you order hot water you can get refills of the hot water as well to make your own tea.
If you are at a CS place you get 1 refill per soda or iced tea, it is requested that you show your receipt and cup upon getting the refill, cashiers are supposed to mark your receipts upon your refill if you fill it yourself, if it's a place they fill it they will mark the receipt for you. Personally I've never asked for hot water at a CS place so I have no idea what the procedure is there.
We regularly refill our water bottles at DLR, we generally use the filtered water fountain at Rancho and we have also used the water fountain in the First Aid Center. They really love it when you go in there and refill, especially on hot days. :)

Definitely no free refills (sodas, iced tea) at Plaza Inn. We've asked multiple times in the last several months and no-go.

Thats strange as I've always gotten a refill there without any issues.

I too have not had a problem with refills at Plaza Inn. However, there are no refills at French Market.

But the tap water is sort of stinky, if I recall correctly. We fill a big wter bottle (LOVE the giant ones from Costco) and hubby lugs the refill plastic bottles.

You should be able to get hot water at any CS place that has a dispenser. However, there is a rule (inconsistently enforced) that the hot water has to be for an adult. This is the result of an incident several years ago where a parent asked for hot water and used it to make a bottle for the baby. The baby was scalded and all CS restaurants stopped giving out hot water for a time. Then the rule relaxed and hot water could be given to adults only. Recently, the rule seems to be pretty relaxed, but be prepared to be asked who the water is for, just in case.

Thats strange as I've always gotten a refill there without any issues.

Same for us. We don't get more than one refill, so I don't know what would happen is someone tried to refill more times.

I've gotten a to go cup from Plaza Inn. I'm sure if I had tried to go back with that, especially if I came in from outside I'd have been denied.

never had a problem getting a refill at plaza inn but I don't usually ask, just carry my cup back with no resistance. I asked at Rancho del zocalo just this month and they said it's fine.

Did not know about the 1 refill at cs.

This post is 5 years old. If that was ever the case, it's not now.

Yeah my question is, have you gotten a refill there recently (like, since January)? We've been told in no uncertain terms that they are not allowed (getting one on the sly, didn't try).

Another thing that may have changed recently, since a cashier mentioned that it had: individual pieces of chicken are $3.99 regardless of type (breast, thigh, drumstick). Biscuits are $1.29. It's still a better deal than the plates if you don't care for the sides (frozen green beans, ick!) or are on a low-carb diet.

MGD sorry missed this. Can't comment on RdZ; maybe it's a different deal there. Or it's a training issue with cashiers not uniformly trained on a policy?
