Kids my age (16) getting drunk, look ridiculously stupid.

when my friends first started drinking, they looked like fools.

Why would you want to drink? They just wanted to look cool (taking pictures - putting them on myspace) and be role models. They looked like idiots, and it makes me laugh everytime I see them doing it or talking about it. How pathetic.

It makes streesss just go away which feels really good. But the problems are still there the next morning. Its just that short period of time you get to feel amazing cause theres no worries.

I'm probably going to get flamed but I think people who drink seriously are bored with themselves. If that is the only way they can have fun they have some serious issues if you ask me. Why don't people want to live life and experience emotions?! Getting drunk is stupid and risky and not worth it AT ALL.

Minors buying alcohol is illegal.
What they choose to do in their own homes, under adult supervision, is up to them.
The law varies, but generally that's the rule.

Still a good point though, admitting to it where anyone can see.
But honestly, I don't think underage drinking is bad.
Most kids will drink, and as long as they don't hurt anyone or develop excessive habits, who cares?

Actually, for the most part, if a minor consumes enough alcohol to even have it show up on a breathilizer, it's illegal. Supplying alcohol to minors is also illegal.

I know people that drink, and I don't do anything about it. My friends and I don't, but I do know people that do. They think it's cool, but what's the point in taking a picture and holding a beer up so it's in the picture? At 15 years old.

I don't need alcohol to have fun, and my crazy friends don't even touch that stuff.

There is a reason the drinking age is 21. You legally cannot drink until you are 21, regardless if you are in your own home or not.

Underage drinking is bad. It's against the law, however unfair that may seem. And the younger you start drinking, the greater the likelihood that you will develop a substance abuse problem.

I'm 19, will be 20 this year and am proud to say I've never been drunk, and the most alcohol I've ever had is a sip of my mom's wine or my dad's wine and beer when I was younger. I don't feel I am missing out on some experience. When I am of LEGAL age to drink, I will drink sparingly, probably in fruitie drinks, until then, I will respect the law.

basically all of my friends drink except my boyfriend. he and i are the only ones that don't. i'd say about 80% of my high school drinks fairly regularly. from my point, you just gotta learn to accept that they will and most likely nothing you say will prevent them from drinking. thankfully a lot of my friends are responsible and do not get into cars with people that have been drinking, or think they are ok to drive. i've made it clear to them that if they ever need a ride home i will gladly be there to help them so they can get home safely. i don't know if that's a possibility for you but you could talk to them and say "hey X i'm concerned about you when you drink. if you ever need a ride or help, please call me and wait for me because i don't want you to get hurt."
if gets really really bad, i'd say tell someone you can trust like your parents, or a teacher or coach. this happened with a girl who i used to be close with. her drinking and drug use got wayyyy out of control and she was kicked off her team and suspended for like 2 weeks.
try to invite them over and hang out and have fun without alcohol.

Hmm, well I've never drunken alchohol ( sp? ) in my life. The smell of wine makes me gag. But I guess Rockstar mentality is right. That's probably why people do it. They have lots of problems and they just want to escape them, so they think that drinking is a good solution, Idk why though, I guess it's a cry for attention too? But I feel bad for people who drink. They must be really sick if they were to recover.

all i can really say to this situation is that you should always remember your own morals and ethics and never let them put you down just because you're not getting drunk. Express your concern but do nothing more with them, if it begins to get out of control definitely go see a school social worker or guidance counselor anonymously.

What's worse are smokers.
It's so funny, because in health, we have a few girls who think they're the shizz cause they smoke, but when we watch videos about smoking, they just put their heads down and don't say anything. It's priceless!

Eh, maybe I'm biased because my parents don't drink at all and I'm not really around a lot of people who drink.
