Drinking water...

I know the drinking water is safe to drink but tastes a bit yucky, does anybody know if the water from the drinks/pop/soda fountains, with loads of ice, tastes more like "our" water.

No, it still tastes horrible! Even when mixed with Coke syrup it still tastes terrible.

My daughter happily drinks the water from the drinks stations, and drinking fountains. I use bottled water to rinse my mouth when cleaning my teeth. It bugs some more than others. I'm sure if I move there I'd get used to it

FWIW, adding ice seems to make it worse. I'm not sure that the water used to make ice is filtered to the same extent/the same way as the water dispensed for drinking

I found that it varied at a few counter service places.
Some had the distinctive taste but others were fine.
Its the same with the fountains too, we soon learned which place to get drinks from.

Yes it has to be ice cold then it numbs you're mouth and its ok! but yes you're right its drinkable if very cold.
