Drinking Water?

This might seem a silly question but is the water in Florida ok to drink?
people have posted about putting something in the water to make it more drinkable???does it taste really bad?

Florida water does taste a bit funny- not everywhere though.
We found at MK some water fountains and counter service drinks did taste weird. Some of the water smells funny too, we take a refillable water bottle and it stinks.
it is drinkable, its just not always nice.

Dont know never tasted it. Bottled water is very cheap so buy this. Dont fancy drinking from a fountain when others have drunk from it before me.

Never had any bother drinking the water in Florida, i find its ok

I'm not from the UK, but the US. I hope it's okay for me to be reading and posting to your threads. I've enjoyed talking to many UK families when I am at Disney World. I can tell you that the water in Florida is rather disgusting tasting, not harmful, just awful; it's their processing system. However, as for Disney World, most of the restaurants and quick service locations have filtered water. There are just a few in the parks that do not. I buy bottled water for the hotel room and when I'm at the parks, I just go up to any counter service window and ask for a cup of ice water. They provide it for free. You don't need to buy water in the parks or use the gross water fountains. Just ask for how many cups you need, they don't mind. It is especially convenient in the really hot months, every few rides I just get new cups of water to stay hydrated and throw them away when I get to the rides. Everyone, have a magical trip to Florida and stay hydrated, but save your money!

the water tastes a bit funny but I have never had a problem drinking it if needed. No upset stomachs etc.
You can buy those little sachets of gator aid that you get in the stores and add that to the water for flavour if you want.

If in doubt just buy bottles.

We have always drank the water at the parks from the fountains and never minded it at all and have never had any stomach problems. If we cannot find a fountain we also ask for water at any of the counter serve locations and they are always only to happy to give us iced water, they usually just ring up 0.00 no charge

Which hotel are you staying in? We're going to the dolphin at WDW and there is a $10 a day resort tax which gives you a few things. Free local calls, gym access, internet access... and 2 bottles of water a day!
