Drinking Around Crescent Lake

For some reason, I think the Cabana is open til 10:00 when we go in Oct (our usual time to go) They may stay open later for a special game. Likewise, they sometimes close early if they are booked for a private event.

That's good to know! We'll have to check it out and find out the times for when we're there, Oct 10-14.

We just got back a few days ago and stayed at BWV. Kouzzina on the Boardwalk is a wonderful restaurant. I drank a Pomegranate Splash there, which has some type of flavored vodka, pomegranate liqueur, cranberry juice and soda. It was SOOOOO good!! The food there was also amazing!!! We will definitely be back!

I also enjoyed the Pina CoLAVA at Leaping Horse Libations when we spent a day at the pool. This is a delicious pina colada with raspberry puree in it. So delicious, and very refreshing!!! DH enjoyed a raspberry daiquiri. I had gone up to the bar to get our drinks and he asked for something frozen and berry. The bartender suggested strawberry daiquiri and I said he likes raspberry much better so he made him one.

We didn't get drinks at the Belle Vue Lounge but I got us some pastries there for breakfast one morning while DH got the boys dressed and ready. It seemed like a very cozy lounger to have drinks in the evening. If it was just the 2 of us we probably would have done that a few times.

I know you are interested in the Boardwalk area, but if you are eating at Cali Grill, there are two awesome bars at Contemporary you should check out. On the concourse level, the Outer Rim has nice views of the lake outside the window and the monorail gliding overhead.

Downstairs, the Wave restaurant has a really cool, modern bar/lounge area with cushioned bench seating and dark blue lighting. I love it!

Can you go to Kouzzina and just order drinks? I'm sure it would depend on how busy they are, and if there are any ADRs available. But it would be fun to check it out! Haven't been there since Spoodles.

Love the Pina CoLAVA! Perfect for a sunny afternoon. :goodvibes Last time we stayed at BWV we had a view of Leaping Horse Libations. It was a beautiful view!

One of my girlfriends will LOVE the Belle Vue Lounge. I'll bet she wishes her living room looked just like it! :rotfl:

I'm trying to figure out how to include these in our itinerary! We're going to MK one day - and it closes at 7PM. I think our CG ressie is at 7:45PM. So, we may or may not have a bit of spare time to enjoy a cocktail somewhere else at CR. It would be fun! I'm trying to show them as MUCH as possible around all the resorts! :thumbsup2

Speaking of "Drinking Around Crescent Lake", are there any places in the BW/BC/YC/Swan/Dolphin area where you can sit down outside and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening? Most of the lounges appear to be indoors ... any have a patio?

I'm taking two of my best girlfriends to BCV for Food & Wine this October - and we want to check out several of the bars and lounges around Crescent Lake. That is if we don't spend all our time at La Cava del Tequila! ;)

I've collected a list of the lounges/pool bars/restaurant bars at BW, YC, BC, and Swolfin - I'd love any input on which ones are your favorites, and if you can actually just go in to some of the restaurants and have a drink at the bar. :drinking1

- Martha’s Vinyard (BC)
- Hurricane Hannah’s (YC/BC)
- Crew’s Cup Lounge (YC)
- Ale & Compass Lounge (YC)
- Atlantic Dance Hall (BW)
- Belle Vue Lounge (BW)
- ESPN Club (BW)
- Jellyrolls (BW)
- Leaping Horse Libations (BW)
- Big River Grille & Brewing Works (BW)
- Flying Fish Café (BW)
- Cabana Bar & Beach Club (D)
- Lobby Court Lounge (D)
- Shula’s Lounge (D)
- Todd English’s bluezoo Lounge (D)
- Kimono’s Lounge (S)
- Il Mulino New York Trattoria (S)
- Splash Grill (S)

We're all city girls and they looked at me funny when I said Epcot closes at 9PM - I better have a plan for nighttime activities! party:

Our preferred hotels are the Dolphin and Swan and we've visited many of the places you listed above. I was kind of surprised (not really!) how many bars we frequent while there. ;)

When we have a Tables in Wonderland card we tend to focus on the Disney hotels so we can get that great 20% discount on our beverages. At YC/BC we like Martha's Vineyard and Crew's Cup and on our last trip also discovered the Ale and Compass. Sometimes we'd sit in the actual lounge and others we'd take our drinks to the wonderful sofas in the YC lobby. Any of the porches that surround the YC are also great to sit outside and enjoy a drink.

We're also big fans of ESPN Club but really haven't explored any of the other places at the Boardwalk. In the Dophin I love the espresso martini's at the Lobby Bar (thanks to Singing Mom here on the DIS) and DH is a huge fan of the mojito's from the Cabana Bar.

The Wave Bar was one of our Favorites last year. What a great bar!

I've got a TIW card, too - can't wait to put it to good use!

So the Dolphin lobby bar seems to be the place to be... :cool2:

Oh, I do hope we can make it to the Wave! :goodvibes

You guys could do a monorail crawl night on a night that Wishes is showing. Then you could just stop wherever you are & watch Wishes. If you are at the Wave, go up to the 4th Floor Observation Deck & watch it from there - they pipe in the music & everything. I'm pretty sure you can take your drink up there with you - just order it to go.

Likewise, drinking around Crescent Lake, if you want to, get your drink to go & you can watch some of the high fireworks from Illuminations from the Boardwalk area.

The monorail crawl is a great idea - we did this last Nov (at least I think we did from what i remember :rotfl2:)

Great idea! We'll try to catch some of Illuminations our first night there - we'll be spending it around the BoardWalk. :thumbsup2
