Drink packages or deals?

The last time we cruised we were able to buy a disney cooler with beer for a certain price. Do they still do this? and if so what is the price and beer options? are there any other drink options or packages?

That has the wine packages and the beer packages. I don't think that they are delivered in a cooler though.

Additionally, there is a "drink of the day", which is a mixed drink of some sort, in both an alcoholic and non-alcoholic option. You can also buy a punch card from "Cove Cafe" to buy premium coffee drinks- espressos, lattes, etc.

Carrying on your alcohol is also an option- it is 6- 12oz beers or 2 regular sized bottles of wine per person.

They did this for our cruise in May 2018. When we got on board, they offered the drink of the day in a souvenir cup and also offered the soft cooler bag + beer special. If I remember correctly, you could get either 12 or 24 beers for a price of maybe $5-8 per beer? Definitely not cheap, but cheaper than ordering them individually at a bar! The options were basic domestic beer (I know Bud Light was an option), or you could pay a little more for a "premium" beer, like Blue Moon or Corona (which is what we got and why I remember). We also were able to split it up so that we had two types of beer. When we were allowed to enter our stateroom, the cooler bag filled with ice and beer was waiting for us, which was nice because we stayed on our veranda as we sailed away and had cold drinks to enjoy. Everything was in an aluminum bottle, which was also nice because we could take them on the beach at Castaway without having to worry about glass.

The cooler bag is very high quality (and came with a little bottle opener keychain) and it was great to have cold beer as we sailed away, but in hindsight, we'll just stop a liquor store and carry on next time.

I think the price is the same, but if you get it from the bartender on the pool deck you get the cooler.

If you bring back you beer mug or the token card you can use it over and over again and not have to pay the $15.00 Charge again. I've been using my token card for 7 years! Best Deal on DCL!

I buy the beer+token & bring back the mug (got 6 now at home and its enough for me)
Last cruise I got the card back, didn't ask for the mug as our bags were so full - and that mug is HEAVY.

Does the token work over the 4 ships? I have it here grinning at me. - I am guessing yes, as how would they know when you got it.

It works on all 4 ships.

They also sell coolers of water if that is your jam too.
On the Fantasy you can get a skyline passport at that bar that allows you essentially by 5 get one free drink from the list of drinks.
Finally there is a wine package that they will sell you the first day for use in the main Dining rooms.

Yes the Mug Works for all the ships. I have used it over 13 cruises!!

You can buy a bucket with ice at Castaway too, 6 beers for the price of 5. Watch out and don't get the Corona though, they pour them in weird plastic bottles and they get warm fast. Stick with the aluminum bottles. Bucket with ice works out well to throw a towel over.

Why would they crack down though? I don't get it
you paid for the mug and didn't get to take it home with you for whatever reason, so you brought back the token on your next cruise to keep using the mug you already paid for.
