Drink Mug Program on DCL?

Is there a drink mug program similar to the one that the resorts offer? I know that there is a charge for soda. Would the mug program be for soda?

Yes, the soda program on the cruise is 5.00 per day, paid at beginning of cruise. (15.00 for 3-day, 20.00 for 4, 35.00 for 7.) The mug is not included. You actually purchase a sticker which entitles you to unlimited soda for the cruise duration. You can purchase a mug (4.00 I think) and they will fill it for you, or you can just use the disposable cups.

I know this may sound like a silly question, but what can you get with a soda mug? Is it just soda, or milk and juice as well?

Is the mug the kind that fits into a car cup holder? If so I'll have to get one to use all year! Can you just get a mug but not the refil package? DH doesn't drink soda but would enjoy a coffee mug to use at home.

Is the sticker good anywhere soda is dispensed or are there only certain locations that where you can get soda? Thanks.

The mug is the same size as the resort mugs...very wide and would not fit in a cup holder. They may sell the cup holder size mugs in the gift shop.

They also sell the wide DCL logo mugs in the gift shop and you do not need to purchase the soda program. It is a different logo than the soda program mugs.

Hot cocoa, coffee, tea, milk, lemonade, iced tea, ice water complimentary and available all day and night at the beverage station on Deck 9. Soda is free with dinner and lunch at any of the dining rooms (not Topsiders...there they have complimentary fruit punch and iced tea there). So...unles you need that cup of soda during the day I don't think the soda prgram is worth it. We usually bring a 12 pack of soda onboard with us and keep it in our cabin and they take that to the pool. DCL has no problem with this.

Sticker is good anywhere soda is available.

Thanks mmouse. I wish they had the smaller ones! I am useing my Disneyland Hotel cup right now! I will still need a mug as I love my diet coke. But Dh won't get one if it doesn't fit in the car as he would want it to take coffee to work in the morning.
