Where do I find the drink that comes in a pineapple?
:confused3
What is it?
:confused3
Do they offer a "virgin" one for kids?
:confused3

Lapu Lapu's! Love them!! They serve them at the Polynesian. Kona, The Tambu Lounge and Ohana all serve them.

:woohoo:
Now that I know the name....
I FOUND IT!!!
:dance3:

Lapu Lapu - Myer's rum, Bacardi 151, orange juice, sour mix. Served in a fresh cut pineapple. Served at lunch and dinner. - $12.75

It's pretty cool to drink out of a pineapple, but I probably won't order one again. I'm not big on fruity drinks, except for the occasional margarita. It was a little too sweet for me. I'll stick to beer. :goodvibes

Gotta tell ya, I like my fancy mixed drinks, but this one just didn't do it for me. It was so strong that it was unpleasant, I had the bartender add more pineapple juice once I had a few sips. Even then, it lacked a certain "tropicalness" I was expecting from a beverage served in a pineapple.

It's basically a mai tai with a shot of 151 rum on top served in a pineapple. They are SOOO GOOOD!!! :woohoo: I'm stopping there on my way back from dinner at Narcoosee's on our first night in WDW. Be careful, a second always sounds great and while drinking the second one,:drinking1 the first one hits you like a ton of bricks! We have ordered two and then when we are done, we order two mai tai's in a regular glass and dump that in the pineapple. The mai tai's are much cheaper (like $9 instead of $12-13).Worth the trip to the Poly!!!

The Lapu Lapu is fun just because it's in a pineapple. It isn't really all that great. :-)

Surely they'll put some OJ in a pineapple for a kid. Just ask. Those Tambu Lounge bartenders are great. (The only think I could think would stop it would be if they're not allowed to "give a drink to a child from the bar" or something).

I have an image stuck in my head of little kids walking around with their pineapple's and people thinking the kids are enjoying an alcoholic beverage. Pretty funny.

You took the words right out of my mouth. We did not like it at all.

Not much booze in em, kinda small on the inside. Would be good with a spike from a flask....

It was great when I had one at Ohana but $12.50 for one drink!!!!!

I got one on our last trip and that's the same thought that went thru my mind. I think it was around $15 by the time you added tax and tip. Now this is just my opinion of course, but it was just OK and there wasn't very much of it. Most definitely not worth the price.
