Hello!!

me, my husband, and his 2 sisters are heading to DW next week..

we want to drink our way around epcot....

*What are the best drinks to get (not beer-hubby's not a big fan)????

*also, if you have a fav drink - whats best to eat with it ???

THANKS!!!

Oooooh...I did DATW in December with a bunch of DISers and will be doing it again in couple of weeks!

Let's see...the Fiesta Margarita in Mexico was pretty good...

Limoncello shot in Italy...

And finally either the Grey Goose or Grand Marnier slushies in France!!

Have fun!!!

I second the Grey Goose Slushie in France.

And try the Rosa Regale in Italy - it is a sparkling red wine and yummy!! (But Brandie - aka Scarlett - did enjoy the limoncello in December. I will probably try it on our next DATW) :rolleyes1

I had some really good sake in Japan . It was sweet and yummy

Oh I can't wait to try the Limonchello!! I tried the GM slushie in France a couple weeks ago and I think I am going back to GG!!

here is how we usually do it:
margarita in Mexico, I like the Fiesta
beer in Norway
tea/alcohol slush in China, I think they also have plum wine
wine sampling in the wine shop in Germany
bellini in Italy
sake in Japan
my mom has had a yummy drink in Morocco
wine in the wine store in France or the grey goose slushie
definately bass for me in UK or we do vodka tonics which on a hot day is great
beer in canada

I think this is a fun must do for adults, my mom & I usually share a drink so that we can find our way around the rest of WS.

I enjoy the plum wine cooler in Japan.

My husband enjoys this beer he can only get in France but the name skips my mind

Here are a couple you may want to try located at the Joy of Tea stand in China.

Mango Gingerita - with Vodka and Rum $7.50
Green Lychee Mist - with Tequila, Melon Liqueur, and Cream $7.50
Peach Snapl - with Schnapps $7.50

I have heard about this "drink around the world thing" and I would certainly not participate in such an event :lmao:...

But, if I did do such a sordid event I would recommend that you not miss the following for someone who is not a beer fan:

Italy - (must have 2 here) Lemonchella and Banfi Rosa Regalle
France - Either of the frozen drinks (or both)
Britan - stop by the Rose and Crown for a great Pimms Cup
Norway -You have to go to the restaruant and ask for a shot of Aquivet
Japan - Sparkling Saki (go all the way back into the store and make a left)
Asia - Tea Cooler (available at the fast service kiosk)
Mexico - In the pavillion, buy a small bottle of tequila (consume same)
Morroco - Frozen drink (at the cart) as you walk past the pavillion
Canada - Get some Ice Wine!

Sadly the US and Germany leaves those who do not drink beer without much of a choice. Germany used to have some great liquors and cordials but they are gone now. I have been lobying the US to make premium bourbons available (but they lack my emthusiasim on this issue)

And when your done, head over to the Sushi Bar at the Swalphin and have a saki-tini.. this may be the most magical drink I have ever had (that is if I participated in these kind of things)... by the way I have also heard there is a drinking game worked out for AK!:cool1:

Have a great time, it should take about 3-4 hours to work your way around World showcase, eat a bit, and remember when our fun interferes with thier fun it is time to take a nap!:thumbsup2

Thanks Lori/Rick for an outline of the game. I may have to see if I can round up a few friend to play this on an up-comig trip. Know anyone?

... maybe it's time to come out of our shells and participate :rotfl:
