Drew's Wish Comes True...

I sure hope it's just slow in getting here. We've had a substitute postman the last few weeks so our mail has been coming between 5-6pm. He's always crabby when he brings packages too Hopefully our normal happy delivery guy will be back soon

Your poor mail person! All the sudden...lots of packages! I bet he is confused! Mine would freak...as my little "box" is so tiny it fills up with just envelopes!

It got here last night

It's been a crazy weekend here so we'll open it tomorrow morning when Meagan & Madilynn are home and awake at the same time

That's how ours is too. More than a day or two of mail and it's full. Even those mailing bags don't fit. My normal mail guy wouldn't mind at all. We even know his "special" knock LOL We miss him

We were finally all together to open your package(we got Meagan right out of bed ). The boys were already at school so that worked out great

Madilynn announced she got to open it because she had waited "hundreds of days" LOL

"I get the pink one"

"I get two" LOL

Then Meagan explained that one was for momma. Madilynn couldn't wait to try them on.

We received packages from Jeanne(jham) and Nancy(Dreamer&Wisher). Drew was so very excited to get a package with his name on it. He's been anxiously awaiting his turn. I don't think he would have survived another package coming for the other kids without one coming for him first.

He was stalking the mailman as soon as he saw the truck. They met him on the sidewalk waiting to see if there was a package. It was so cute. Then when the mailman handed Dad TWO packages Drew came running into the house "Packages!!! We got packages! TWO of them!! And one has just MY name" He was so excited. They ran down to get Zander from the neighbors so they could open.

Seeing as the package had his name on it - he got to open. First the box from Nancy.

Which had a little note for Drew and shirts for Drew and Ryan

Nancy, the shirts are so cute. I Love them! Mickey is my favorite and I love that their names are on them. In a family of five kids these two get a lot of hand-me-downs. These shirts will forever be theirs

The next package was from Jeanne(jham).

In it was the cutest green (Drew's favorite color)shirt with Pluto on it. Drew absolutely loves it. He had the biggest smile on his face (behind the shirt). He lifted it just as the flash went off

There was also the sweetest little card from Luke.

Ryan was so excited because Luke is 6, just like Ryan. It brought tears to my eyes listening to Drew read that card. A year ago he couldn't read at all. So it's a big deal to listen to him read and even more so to have him read a special letter like that.

There was also a little bag that had bracelets in it for Madilynn, Meagan and I. They are just too cute.

Jeanne, thank you so very much. The shirt is PERFECT! I can already tell it's going to be one of Drew's favorite shirts And the bracelets are so cute. We love them too.

Luke, thank you so much for your card. You are such a sweet little boy to do that. You are so very thoughtful.

Thank you all so much. It still brings tears to my eyes each time a package arrives or I edit pictures or post about them. I hope you all know how amazing you are and what an impact all you Big Givers are having on not only these families, but those around them too. Every time I share what you all have done people are amazed.

We opened that one while the boys were at school. It would have been a total secret if Madilynn wouldn't have mobbed them as they walked in the door to show them what she got. I'll tell Meagan you said she gets extra points

We've received another package, from Jill

Zander was our opener. Everyone was a bit impatient waiting for him to "saw" through the tape with the little saw on his new pocket knife -- boys!!

At least Ryan was entertaining us. (Notice his first lost tooth )

Finally the tape was broken and they could see what was inside

"FINALLY........our own passports"
"Hey, where's my passport? I got an autograph book"
"I got both!!"
"I got both too..........we all did. Turn it over silly."
"Mine's better, it has PRINCESSES"

Thank you so much Jill. I've never seen anything like these. I love them. How did we ever do Disneyland with manufactured books?? These are the best!! I love how they are personalized too. Thank you so much for thinking of my kids and taking the time to make their trip that much more fun
