It'll be a first for me and DH at Mickey's Not So Scarey Halloween Party, it mentions that you can dress up. We'd like to dress up but don't wanna be the only adults dressed up - any body been and dressed up and do the majority of adults dress up or is it just mainly the children?? Also what type of costumes did you see? :confused3

We go most years - DW and I (41 & 44) - and we always go dressed as pirates. We put the costumes together ourselves from things we've bought at charity shops or Primark etc - they've developed over the years, last year DW swapped from shorts to a skirt and added a 'tri-corner' hat with added pony-tail. She also has Zazoo stuck to here shoulder rather than a parrot.

We always go and always get dressed up as does our 8yr old DD. Strangely though, the Americans don't seem to go in for lots of scary costumes, in fact you are not allowed gory costumes at all. You tend to see funny or character (especiallyDisney) ones. My DD goes as Jasmine or a very stylised none-scary witch (more like a black fairy really). We wear specail cotton trousers (purchased from Old Navy) with halloween patterns on (cauldrons, witches cats etc and oversized tee shirts with a slogan (from WalMart). Mine says SCARY and if you saw me you'd agree!!!!

Have fun its great

Thanks for the links and advice - can't wait to experience it, will buy our costumes from walmart when we are there, i remember last time we were there is october and they had a great selection. :cool1:

MNSSHP is a brilliant night, we didnt dress up in fancy dress but the four of us wore black and orange trousers and t-shirts with pumpkins, skeletons etc motifs on.

I have to say that I was amazed by some of the adult costumes - superb! There was a group of guests dressed as Star Wars characters, and the kids were queuing up to have their autograph and pic taken with them! The poor guests had to stand for over an hour posing for the kids!

One thing that did disturb me a bit though was an adult dressed as Cruella De Vil - dont get me wrong - her costume was incredible and she looked like the real thing, but her poor son (who looked about 2 or 3 years old) was dressed as a dalmation puppy and the Cruella-Woman dragged (yanked almost) her child around on a lead. It didnt look right and I think she took the whole thing too far.

Anyway - have a fab night!

Can confirm no gory,DS (9 at the time) had a scary zombie costume on & the CM at the park gate wouldn't let him in! Devastated as he had used his own money to buy it at the Florida mall!! I would guess that's there's more adults with than without, the best we seen was a woman with one of those blowup Sumo suits on-it was very amusing seeing her trying to squeeze on Space M !!
SD :thumbsup2

We will dress up, see what we can pick up when we are there. But, just in case we can't don't we have bought two T-Shirts from zazzle.com that have disney halloween pictures on.
