Dressing up as Captain Jack for P&PP

Greetings everyone! This is my first official post to the Disboards (can't believe I've never posted here!). Anyways....

My wife and I will be going to the P&PP on May 9, and I was going to dress up in my Captain Jack costume. I've heard conflicting stories on whether or not I'll be allowed in dressed as Jack. Being a "professional" Jack, I'm wondering if I might look too good (that's not a pat on the back...just trying to get all the details out there).

I don't see where it would be a problem as long as it's only for the P&PP.

When we were there, we saw someone in a Captain Hook costume and it was really good. People thought he was the real one it was so good. I have also seen a lot of pictures on these boards of people who have gone all out and really looked the part.

When I bought my tickets, the CM highly encouraged us to dress up. I asked her if adults dress up also. She said MOST adults will be dressed up for the party. My impression is that you will not only be fine, but encouraged.

Since becoming a professional Jack, I've found that at the parties and events I do, I'm a bigger hit with the moms/ladies than with the kids. It's a rough life...but someones gotta do it!

DH is not a "professional" Jack, but his costume is very authentic. Some of it we've made, some we've purchased, but he really does look quite like him. We attended MNSSHP last year, and it was fine. I think you should be fine, and honestly, I think it would be a riot if you went to meet Captain Jack. Now that's a pic I'd love to see!
