Just wondering if there are any other mommies out there who are becoming as obsessed as I am about how to dress their kids at Disney. After seeing such precious outfits on Ebay for kids to wear, I'm already planning for our September 22nd trip. I feel like I need a spectacular outfit for each park, but some of the outfits on Ebay are quite pricey. I would love to hear from those who have come up with great ideas for outfits and what kind of reaction you got from CM's. Did you receive any special treatment? Please include pictures if you can!

Thanks!

I understand wanting the kids to look GREAT at the parks. . . but going in Sept---Please REMEMBER THAT IT IS HOT!!!

Totally forgot that last year. And she was hot and muggy!!!

So this year I am trying to get her some "cool" cute clothes.

This is a top that I made--not sure what shorts/skirt to pair it with yet.

Might just make her a pair of matching polka dot shorts and but the Mickey head on her bum.

Thinking about doing a Princess and Tink set as well. There is always the Ever Easy Pillow Case dress that can be thrown together very quickly and is very cool and breezy.

It will be HOT when we go. So most of the really cute stuff won't work. Last year, my kids dressed in cute Gymboree clothing (my prior addiction). This year, they still have so many that i cannot justify buying more. But I did make matching shirts for them to wear. And got some other ones at Gabriel Brothers. Here are the ones I made...

NOt because it hough it looked dressed up or anything, but I nought my DD (1 1/2) a tinkerbell outfit at Walmart. It was basically a onesie with a skirt and tulle on the skirt. EVERYONE called her tinkerbell the whole day even though no wings etc. We got a picture with her kissing Mr. Smee which was kinda funny. Peter Pan and Wendy weren't out enough. Just word of advice if picture with the outfits are important to you plan ahead!!! If we had though about it we would have made sure we got the picture with DD and peter pan.

I've brought costumes for character meals like my DDs minnie dress for Chef Mickey's or my girls' Cinderella dresses for our CRT meal. I also brought my older DDs Alice costume for the Alice Tea Party at GF. They make for great photo ops!

Other then that, all I do is bring their Disney shirts with characters on them. I usually have my redhead in an Ariel shirt and my brown haired girl in a Belle shirt. Or if we're going to CRT I have them wear their Cinderella shirts.

That's about it.

I know what you mean by those cute outfits on eBay. I was trying to win a Snow White jumper that was going for brand-new prices! DD caught me and asked if I would just buy her a couple of t-shirts in the park instead.

(But keep trying on eBay. I did manage to snag a Beaux et Belles Cinderella outfit a couple of months ago for $30 :thumbsup2 )

I typically dress my kids not cute but in bright colors like tye dye so if they get away I can spot them in a crowd easily.

I did buy my boys matching tropical shirts for the Aloha thing at the poly

I would love a set of those mickey tye dye shirts... any directions on how to make them or a place to buy some?

I am completely OBSESSED, and yes, my kiddies got lots of extra attention last year. I have a boy (3) and girl (5) and it was hard to dress them alike without Jack looking goofy, but I managed. Lots of characters remembered meeting them and said things to them during the parade. It was really cool. I think that I have gone way over budget this year with our upcoming trip, but I promise to be reasonable when I ebay the matching stuff when I get back! LOL! PM me if you would like to see some pics- I had a very nice ebayer make matching CARS sets for them that are soooo cute! Also, there is a lady who embroiders little kids wearing mouse ears on tees!

I also did the same thing.. a store here in town sells Mickey Red and White Gingham jumpers and puts their name on them.. they are adorable.. I bought it so she could wear it two years in a row and bought a bow to match! Too cute!

The same store also sells Mickey/Minnie Mouse Tshirts with their name on them.. They were I think only around 15 and worth every penney! TOO CUTE! Not bad price at all.. I can look up our pics if anyone is interested.. I can get a phone number.. I know she will ship too.. I plan on buying another one... They were cute and simple and not expensive.. oh and this same store make disney bags to match too.. like something for Mom to carry while at Disney..

Just ideas.

My family wears matching Disney shirts (and we all wear black shorts) for each day of our trip. We have about 10 different sets of matching Disney t-shirts & a matching set of Disney logo sweatshirts.

I think the matching clothes in the pictures look GREAT!

I had given some thought to my dtr. Not the whole family. Those t-shirts are cute. My sons are 7 & 6 and there is no way they will dress up other than their pirate t-shirts and Mickey logo t-shirts. But for my DD 2 who will be celebrating her b-day while there I have a few things. I did get a really cute Minnie set at Walmart 2 wks ago - white capris with a cute pink tank top with minnie on it. $9 (planning on having her wear it the night we go to LTT)

We have dinner reservations for 1900 and I want to get her cinderella costume for that. I figure we'll be going from hotel to hotel (no parks that night) so I think she'll be okay. Sept is hot so I don't plan on her wearing any costumes to parks.

I also bought her a cute Ariel t-shirt that I was going to match with some shorts. Some of you gals are very talented! I'm jealous I don't sew!

Oh this thread is for me!! I have so much fun planning my kids outfits for Disney! I make overalls so for this trip (we go in 10 days) My DD 5 has Tinkerbell, 2 Minnie's, and a Cinderella set. I also made my DS who just turned 2 a tigger pair and a Mickey pair. I did get him a Cars shortall on eBay too. And of course we have to bring all the princess: princess dresses I also make my daughter's hair bows that I embroider all the characters on.
I agree there are some really cute eBay outfits but some are sooo pricey. So I started making them myself and I have so much fun! they are only little once right?
Here are some pictures I have so many I didn't know which ones to use- I hope this isn't too many I narrowed it down LOL!

My mom sews a lot so she makes all my children's outfit to go... they are awesome... and I get a lot of compliments on them... a lot of people ask me where I bought the outfits... sorry, handmade... I don't know how to post pictures on this... so I can't show them... but special outfit gets a lot of attentions, no doubt about it. Have fun at WDW.
