So - I'm think that my husband and I would like to dine during lunch at some of the "nicer" places - Narcoossee's, for example. Would we feel the need to go back to our resort and change prior to our reservation?

I'm going to try Cali Grill or Ohana for a later dinner in hopes of catching Wishes, but other than that, I'm thinking that since we won't have the kids there needing an afternoon nap - we'll take advantage of the crowds IN the parks and go have a nice meal without messing with counter service.

So - would your "park attire" be alright for dining?

As long as you're not wearing pool type flip-flops or "pool gear" you should be fine. Places like O'Hana is very casual. CG a little more fancy but honestly, even the business casual attire is very laid back with shorts being just fine (and sandals too). We've never had a problem.

Keep in mind however that many of the resort restaurants like (Narcoossee's as well as O'Hana and CG) are only opened for dinner. Many of the resort "signature" restaurants aren't open for lunch and don't start serving dinner until 5:30.

Sandals? What about running shoes? I barely wear sandals in the parks... Maybe I should start looking for comfy nicer looking shoes....

The resort restaurants with a dress code are not open for lunch. So you'll be fine in park attire at any restaurant you choose.

Narcoosee's doesn't serve lunch.

The only signature restaurants that do are Brown Derby and Cinderella's Royal Table.

Thanks - I did just notice that when looking at the menu it said "dinner menu" and no lunch menu... Good thing I've got a year to figure this out. Well a year minus 180 days anyway!

We dined at Artist Point last year and when we walked in I was shocked how NOT dressed up everyone was. We wer wayyyy over dressed. Enough so, that I ran back upstairs and CHANGED! I learned real quick that in DW, they KNOW we're on vactation and doing the parks. Nobody dresses up.
