We might try this one night after the parks close at 8:00 (off season) Should we prepare to change clothes from our park clothes? Or should we be ok in shorts?
TIA!!!

Ballerina, we went there in our casual clothes and saw many other diners there dressed the same. It's a family seafood restaurant, not particularly upscale-- certainly not as nice as Napa Rose, and I think I'd consider Ralph Brennan's to be nicer, as well.

To be honest, we were disappointed in the quality of the food and the lack of overal ambiance. I had the impression from a guidebook that it would be all Pirate-y and themed, but it's not at all. There was an abstract metal ship sculpture hanging over the chef's bar, and that was the extent of the "Captain Hook" decor. We found the food to be mostly adequate but very overpriced, and I've never had sea bass that was so overcooked and dry. The service was pretty good, probably because we had reservations at the first dinner seating so were one of the first tables seated.

On the other hand, I've heard other people say they really liked it. I hope you have a good experience!

Thanks Gail! Good to know! Just trying to think of places we've never tried. As the park closes ealry (8:00) i thought we might try some hotel restaurants. We have done the Jazz Kitchen express a few times and thought we might try the main dining room. ANy other suggestions? We have a RFC in town and have done House of Blues many times. Will be doing Gooofy's twice (breakfast and lunch)
Is Storytellers a buffet and al a carte for dinner as well?

DH and I went to Steakhouse 55 at the DLH and loved it. :thumbsup2 It is nice (and expensive) but has a kids menu. There was a family with about 3 kids while we were there, and they seemed to be enjoying it. I saw some people dressed up and other in shorts and t-shirts. We went middle of the road and wore nice shorts and nice shirts. (We had been in the park all day, and just changed shirts when we went to eat.)

We haven't been there enough to know a lot about the different restaurants, ourselves, but I've heard quite a few good things about Steakhouse 55, as well.

Napa is OHHH SOOO expensive but OHHH SOOOO good! DD13 and I had such a good time when we did the chef's counter there! And I saw families with kids dressed casually there, as well as some more formally-dressed people.

We didn't eat at Storytellers, but we had room service, which comes from there, when we stayed at GCH and it was fabulous. Yum. It sure looked nice inside, too.
