dress code at signatures

I'm familiar with the dress code at the signature restaurants however I was wondering about shoes. I would like to visit the parks and DS after a couple of dinners and don't want to have to return to the resort. Would flip flops with a casual dress or pants/capris be out of place. They would not be old/dirty flip flops but nonetheless they would be flip flops.

We have reservations at Shulas, Narcoossee's, Yachtsman and the Boathouse. I realize sandals would be ok but I don't have any low sandals that would be comfortable for extended walking. TIA

For the Disney signatures, they actually don't mention much about footwear. I'd think so long as they're not trainers or soccer slides, you'll be fine at Narcoossee's and Yachtsman. I do not believe Shula's technically has a dress code; keep in mind that it's at Swan/Dolphin and not technically a Disney Signature. Similarly, Boathouse lacks a dress code.

I think you will be fine. I don't even take a nice pair of sandals at all when I go and I eat at signature restaurants all the time. I usually wear sundresses to the park and have a couple of pair of Clarks flip flop type sandals and wear those most of the time.

Flip Flops have been totally no Bueno @ Shulas in the past. I have seen people turned away here for not meeting the dress code. Narcoosee's has a "business casual" dress code however they have always been pretty lax about this. After all it's part of a Beach resort. I've noticed Ladies just carrying sandals in their totes and changing before going in Shulas which makes sense since many guests are trekking through Epcot to get there.

With one exception: Victoria & Albert's... "Signature" Dress code reality is:

"Don't show up looking like a Bum".

Clean and neat Park attire? No problem at all... really, these folks GET that you are at Disney . The basic desire is to make ALL restaurant patrons comfortable .

Bad stuff? That would include "Humans - not just for breakfast anymore" T shirts, "stripper wear - very nice"(old commercial), men's hats (an OLD one ), visible NAZI tattoos encouraging extermination of anyone, Very formal wear - but you have not bathed within the month.

Really, all common sense things that might upset other patrons....

Though I'm still a bit confused about the Men's Hats .

All just our experience, all personal opinion - I'm not right, you aren't wrong.

Men's hats are fine, as long as they're worn properly, meaning somewhere on the chair and not the head, and preferably not the table.

Been there several times with my flip flops, never a problem.

I have always worn sneakers at all the signature eateries I have ever dined in and I have dined in every single one of them in all the resorts (save the Swan/Dolphin) and at the theme parks. I have never had any problems and I have dined multiple times at all of them, in sneakers, as well.

Obviously, I'm not including Victoria and Albert's as that restaurant is beyond a "signature" restaurant, anyway and formal attire is a must there, and that includes dress shoes, but it is the only one of the Disney restaurants that are officially on "property" and all that entails, such as Magical express and packages and the like, that does this.

I otherwise dress nicely, in a collard shirt (though not usually buttoned down - think Polo) and dress shorts (no jean or crazy print/bathing suit style ones) or sometimes dress pants of the khaki variety. And my sneakers are always in pristine condition.

I've worn nicer flip flops (not ratty or worn out, and usually with some sort of beadwork or gems or somesuch to make them a little fancier) to the following: California Grill, Citricos, Narcoossee's, Artist's Palette, and The Yachtsman. Never had any trouble at any of them. I also wore sundresses to each of these places, with the exception of The Yachtsman, as I was much younger and anti-cute dresses, so I wore a nice pair of shorts and a polo.

I wore flip flops (or backless sandals) to Shula's 2 weeks ago. Not a word was said

Heck--on Monday nights during football season you will see some patrons at Shula's wearing their favorite team jersey.

I've never been to victoria and Alberts but the only time I saw anyone addresses for attire was when some guy walked into beaches and cream without a shirt. In signature restaurants and Shula's, I've seen people looking like they just about came from the pool or the basketball court and they were seated as graciously as anyone else.

Shulas is not a Signature restaurant or controlled by Disney so the dress code is different and always has been. Other than extreme examples I've never see any one turned away from a Signature restaurant. We have seen patrons turned away from Shula's for foot wear on multiple occasions. As posted on line for Shula's ;

Shirt with collar and casual slacks for gentleman (jacket and tie are not required). Blouse, dress slacks, skirts, dress sandals for the ladies.
