Dress Alterations

Well I finally got my dress! :thumbsup2

It had to be ordered and I will need some minor alterations in the straps and waist area. I have a question for past brides who did dress alterations. The dress is both a V shape in the front and in the back. I am wondering if there is extra leeway in the straps if the V in the back can be lowered at all. It is a bit higher up on the back than I would like it and it would be great if it could be lowered but not a huge problem if not. Also, would this be super expensive to do? I would appreciate any feedback into this matter if anyone else has had there dress altered in this way.

TIA!

It should be possible as long as there is no decoration on the bodice to interfere. How much it would cost, I don't know. Just make sure you take it to a good place to do that, since creating a new line can easily end up curvy or puckered.

I would call around to some bridal shops in your area and ask them if they can recommend someone who does their bridal alterations and go from there. I do know someone in my area who does only bridal alterations and she was excellent but I am sure you don't live in Tallahassee, Florida. Just be sure you get someone who is experienced at it and knows what they are doing because once something is cut off you can't put it back.

Hi thanks for the responses.

No not in Tallahassee, FL but close in Daytona, FL :)

Thanks again for the advice
