dreamweddingdvd - any comments?

I've had some info back from dream wedding DVD regarding shooting the video of our VR and the price seems really good ($449 including tax, for 3.5 hours to film the occasion. 2 camera's. Finished DVD movie of the event, with chapters; 5 copies of the finished DVD, with cases. It takes about 14 days till your DVD is completed and in your hands. The finished films run around 60 minutes.) I just wondered if anyone has ANY comments (good or bad) to share before I make my final choice.

Also, I've approached Broadwayfoto and Amagicmoment for DVD - again, ANY comments??

I came home tonight to a slip from Fed Ex in my mailbox. It looks like my DVD from A Magic Moment has arrived. But it's killing me because I have to wait until tomorrow now!

So as soon as we watch it, I'll let you know...

I'm waiting for a demo/sample but sounds very good so far. The package above is not listed on their site, but is what was offered when I emailed them to see if they did something a little less for our Intimate.

as it turns out it wasn't my DVD, but the photo album from the honeymoon shoot. While I was excited to receive that, I was kind of angry that my DVD hadn't yet arrived. I called 2 weeks ago to get an update on the DVD and was told that they would finish it within the next 2 days. I just got off the phone with them and was told that they just sent it out today.

I was not given any proof or anything. E-mails I sent went unanswered (and so I had to follow up with phone calls). When I called 2 weeks ago I asked them to call me when they shipped the product, so I'd know if there were any hold-ups at the boarder -- and that never happened. Additionally when DH contacted them he was told 2 cameras would be there, and on the day only one was there.

As it stands I wouldn't recommend them. The video is going to have to be pretty great for me to change my outlook. Considering we paid 900+ I'd say steer clear.

I think it's very poor customer service not responding to you, especially as you spent that amount. Let's hope they can turn all this negativity around for you. Please let us know how you get on.
On a positive note, are you happy with your photo's?

thanks I'm just nervous, you know. When I hired them I didn't have a single review, and it's hard when people don't get back to you.

I really like the pictures. I mean, the actual shots are pretty nice (it was just our photographer that seemed cranky that day), and I just love the album. I'm really impressed with that!!!

I'd love to hear anyone's opinions on dreamweddingdvd as well...I just ordered a demo DVD from them but it hasn't arrived yet. If they do turn out to be a reputable company, I'm definitely booking because their packages are the best deal I've seen (and trust me, I've been looking, and looking....and looking.....)

I'll keep checking the mail and update everyone after I watch the demo!
