hi everyone we are going to dis nov26-dec3 it is our first time and can not wait can anyone give us some information on dreamsunlimited for booking our trip

thank you very much

Assuming you are Canadian, you would have absolutely no protection under Canadian travel laws by booking through an American travel agent. Any reason you would prefer to go with an American internet based travel agent than something like CAA or another local travel agent with Disney expertise?

In the end, of course, it is up to the consumer.

Yes, we did and had no problems. They were very helpful in making changes for us as well.

Go for it!

We used them for both of our trips. Our agent (Beth Czada) was great. She let us focus on what we wanted to do while she looked after the how. She writes a great trip report too. I was envious of her vacations.

To answer RoyalCanadian's question we did look at CAA when we were booking our first trip but all CAA would have done was book the trip. No help with ADR's or any other planning. I knew more than the CAA agent did. I didn't know of any Canadian Disney-only TA's at the time. I think there may be one or two now and even one of those is just an agent for a US travel company. I don't see protection under Canadian law as a factor for this. Disney doesn't have the same risk factors that some unknown resort on an island does. Beside I would have book direct with Disney and wouldn't have had the protection anyways.

I booked with DU for my trip to WDW last summer and recently for our Disney cruise in March. Both times I received excellent service. The cruise does not require as much interaction but for WDW they book all your meals for you so you don't have spend you time making ADR's. I made numereous changes to my ADR's as well and everything was done promptly without any hassle. They also look for specials which is a bonus, when free dining came out last summer my TA was able to add it to our reservation before it was released to the public. My TA even sent my girls little notes from Mickey and Cinderella which just added to the magic. :wizard:

As far as I know I don't think (correct me if I am wrong) there are any Canadian TA's who exclusively do Disney vacations. From what I understand the Disney agents have special perks that other TA's don't have like special access to ADR's and exclusive info about upcoming specials. Our TA was able to get us into CRT whereas I know others who were booking at the same time could not. Also, DU is this board's sponser so I don't think you have to worry.

I have used CAA for a few nonDisney vacations and unfortunatlely was less than impressed. My girlfriend used them for her March Break trip and received horrible service.

I am in process of booking with DU again for our trip this summer. I would say go for it.

We used them last yr but this yr they required a 3 day min length stay so we are not using them. Our agent was Ron Peot.He got us a lovely room at AKL. We did end up booking own dining reservations though because they were too slow.

We booked our first trip with DU (Marla Helwig) and was really impressed with the service. She made all of our ADR's - even CRT for breakfast on my daughter's birthday. She also did an itinerary which we followed and it worked well for us. A discount came up that I wasn't aware of and it was applied to our reservation.

We currently have our 2nd trip booked with Marla at DU again. All of our ADR's have been made, free dining has been applied to our reservation and we have the beginnings of an itinerary. I think they're great and would not hesitate to use them again!

hmmmmmm... i've seen a few who even post on these boards, even today in fact... Minnie56 and madonna31 come to mind...
A use another Canadian TA who does Disney only too.

Just out of curiosity, why does the question of "has anyone booked with Dreams Unlimited?" or "who should I book with?" seem to come up every day lately?

Would it just clear things up to have a sticky at the top of this board?

We've used DU twice and wouldn't hesitate to book with them again.

Awesome service and they provided the best deal at the time.

First time was for a 10 day WDW stay and the second was for a DCL cruise.

Yep, a sticky would be great....I can ask on the Moderator/Board Hosts Board if one of the Webmasters can do that for us, as we don't have our own Mod to do that kind of stuff:)...you can also just head to the DisHome page, and the Dreams Board link is right there too:)

Dreams is great - and the key for us is that:
a) they're a DisBoard Sponsor, which helps keep the Boards free for all of us to drop in and spend some time (well, some more than others!!;) )
b) they'll do all the legwork for you, so keener planner or not, you'll get all the benefits of having someone that just "does Disney"

...as for the protection of US law and/or CDN law - hmmm:scratchin have to ask that too:)

HTH!
