Not sure if this is the right place to post this but.... I submitted a quote request to Dreams Unlimited, Small World, and Magical Journeys.

Seems like Dreams offers more services - seating reservations, etc. - and are a bigger company. On their website it says: "....every 45 days between the time you book with Dreams, and the time you depart on your vacation, we'll review your reservation to see if there are any special offers or discounts that were not available when you first made your reservatin....." .

Does that mean they only look every 45 days? It's my understanding that when discounts come out there are a limited number of rooms released for that rate. So is it possible that I would miss out on the discount because they didn't look before between the two 45 day periods?

Any other feedback on Small World, Journey, or Dreams?

Thanks!

When a code comes out, they get it for you right away. It doesn't matter if it's between 45 days. I have used DU, as have many people here, and have been very happy with the service. They have always responded quickly to my e-mails, and it's always nice to get my questions answered even if it is a weekned.

Ditto to what DisneyElla said. I've used DU twice and they've been great both times! They always applied the new rates the same day they come out (usually before I've even heard about them). They also doa great job of snagging hard to get PSs.

We're about to book a Disney Magic cruise for Dec 2005, I have been quoted from several travel agencies, has anyone booked a cruise through DU?

I'm overwhelmed on which one to book through, or even go through WDW Travel as I got my Disney Visa in the mail...

Any thoughts from former DU-users...please, advice is needed!

Thanks!!

P.S I can't believe I'm doing this LOL, booking a cruise? Haven't even been on our 2nd trip to WDW yet!!:hyper:

We just booked our DEC. 17th 05 Magic Cruise through DU. What a great price!! We also have our June 05 Wonder cruise through them-not so great a price but better than everywhere else. Book today because I think the rebate expires this month.
...I can't belive I've booked two cruises for next year. Never done this before but all of a sudden I'm very excited about cruising! Sure hope we like it!
...I guess this should be on the Cruise boards

I guess I am unlucky. I submitted a form to Dreams Unlimited at least 1 month ago for June 2006 and they never even got back to me. Maybe that is too far out for them but they could have at least had the courtesy to give me an e-mail back to that regard. I now have a bad taste in my mouth regarding Dreams Unlimited and will probably never even try to use them again.

If you have not received a reply it could be that the email was sent to a spam folder and deleted out by mistake (this happens OFTEN with aol clients) Please email john@dreamsunlimitedtravel.com if you have a problem with your Dreams Reservation request and he can take a look into it for you.

I have used both Small World and Dreams Unlimited. I was actually pretty happy with SW until I had a rather negligent agent, so I switched midway to DU, which was really great. Since my prior experience with SW was good, I'm inclined to believe that I truly did just have a bad SW agent on a bad day, but since my experience with DU was FANTASTIC, I have not gone back to SW.

DU does a great job with PSs - back when I was with SW, they didn't offer this service. May have changed by now.

My recommendation is DU.

Please give them another try. I emailed my agent directly about May of 2006 and she told me their system won't "allow" her to book my ressie as of yet. I have to wait til May of next year. You'll miss out on a great experience by turning away from Dreams. Take SueEllen's suggestion and email the webmaster at Dreams and see what happens. :teeth:

The Dreams site also says (right below what you quoted):

"Second, when specials are announced, our system automatically flags any current reservation that may be eligible. Our agents then check to see if the reservation can be converted. This applies to Magic Kingdom Club rates, Annual Passholder rates, and special packages that may be offered during the course of the year. While we cannot guarantee that we will be able to lower your rate, we will work diligently to make it happen."

I'm using Dreams for my honeymoon, and have gotten every last reservation I've asked for including an Illuminations Cruise, and Cinderella's Royal Table.

They also applied a post card rate I got, and have gone above and beyond what they said they'd do. I'd reccomend them and use them again in a heartbeat!!!!!

Yes, I highly recommend DU for Disney vacations! My agent, Trisha, was great about handling my many questions and requests in a prompt manner. She snagged us our first CRT reservations which turned out to be truly magical!! It was our best vacation ever!!!

I just used Dreams Unlimited for our upcoming trip & they were awesome. They got me the rates & times I wanted & everything is in the system for me to access whenever I want. Very pleased so far. My question, I'm used to receiving the yellow confirmation slip you show the guard at the gate before you check in. Do you receive something similar to that prior to your trip ? I know Disney has tightened security (for good cause) but don't want ANY hassles on this trip. :hyper:

Love DU! We had a fantastic experience with them last year. I was planning a trip for six, and this included different arrival days and needs spread out over 11 days and three rooms. When the Fairy Tale Package was extended to cover our dates, DU was on it before I could even send an email. Everything was PERFECT.

Tricia is our agent this year and she is already doing a phenomenal job for us. When I got the email with the personal PIN number yesterday, I forwarded it to her. She (like many DISers) had to call several times to get a CM who knew what was going on, but she stuck with it and saved us almost $900.

I'm also using DU, Carole is my agent and she has been great so far. I just emailed her about the email code that I received and within 30 minutes, she emailed me back with the new pricing.

The deal was good enough for me to upgrade to AKL pool view for our upcoming trip. :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

DU all the way! I just used them for our June trip and the next trip we plan, I will use them again. ::yes::

We are also using DU for our upcoming land/sea vacation. I could not be happier. Our agent is Dagny and she has done a terriffic job (Dagny, if you're reading this thanks for your help).

Even when she thought she was being slow in a response for one of our questions, being very apologetic, I thought she got back it plenty of time.

I would highly recomend DU and Dagny as your agent. As you can see, our trip is fast approaching and she has been checking in with us to see if there is anything else she can do for us or if there is any last minute questions.

We wanted an extra day booked onto the land portion, Dagny recomended holding off until Disney released special pricing for our time frame. Sure enough, as soon as they were released, Dagny got back to us right away.

I will definately go back to DU for our next trip and tell my friends about DU.

We are using DU for our upcoming trip 2 days at AKL
16 days at PC and the 4 day cruise on the Magic on Jan
4th Deb at DU has been great pullling all this in
order for us. Highly recommend DU. Execellent
Company to do business with. Will use them again
towards the end of 2005 when a large contingent of
family will be going. :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

Your are sooooo very welcome my little Minnesota Mousketeers! I hope you guys have a wonderful trip..... hmmm, I think you need a personal tour guide ;)

You may be able to get the same rates but why not let DU do it for you? They also do ADRs and have always been able to get us what we wanted even the difficult ones like CRT and Illuminations cruises. Just used DU for my trip this month and Sue Ellen was wonderful with numerous changes and problems that came up because my mother was severely ill. We have used them since 2001 for WDW and have booked our cruise for 2007 with DU. Also we have never been given a hard time about switching and unfortunately have had to make numerous switches over the years. We are actually sad because now that we have DVC points, we don't get to use DU as much. I have recommended DU to friends and family and all have been happy.
