I got a quote from DU and then I got a quote directly from Disney. The difference in price was around $600, DU being cheaper. Is this normal?
Are there benefits to using DU?

Did you have the exact same ticket options marked on WDW site as you requested from DU?

I have used DU twice now and they are great!

make sure you are comparing apples to apples
It also depends on whether you priced the package without any discounts and DU priced it with a discount if one was available for your dates

NO there aren't any discounts for 2011 so the price should be the same. There must be a difference in what you are comparing. Sometimes when you look online it defaults to a higher price room category and you have to change it to a standard view if that is what you prefer. That could be the difference depending on the resort you are looking for

Disney will often add trip insurance to your quote and you have to request that it be taken off. Although $600 is a lot for insurance! Did DU add taxes to the quote as well?

I have used Dreams 3 times now. This trip that I have coming up I actually used another travel agency...well it won't happen again. (and no I won't mention the other company because others here have been happy with them) It will be back to Dreams! Dreams is so organized and their response time is great. Sorry for cheating on you Dreams Unlimited, I have learned my lesson and it wont happen again!
