Does anyone know if you can book a trip through Dreams and use rented points from a rental company?

I think dreams unlimited has teamed up with dvc rental store so that they can arrange the rental for you. I don’t know if they will book a vacation if you already have a rental with another party in place.

I've been pondering this thread. What would be the benefit of booking by using a travel agency which is using a rental store?

What could the travel agent do for you, other than maybe make restaurant reservations?

They couldn't search for room discounts to apply because there wouldn't be any. They couldn't make fastpass reservations because there aren't any. They couldn't put in a room request because that would have to be done by the DVC owner.

And if there were some kind of problem, you would contact the travel agency who would contact the rental store who would contact the DVC owner. That seems like a lot of people to have involved in your reservation.

Maybe I'm missing something.

They would book the resort , if they do that. I guess since there's no FP they would just book park reservations and dining reservations. Also book transportation from the airport. For someone who doesn't have time to plan or that would be a huge help.

A TA is not supposed to be booking park reservations for guests because the reservation actually requires that the guest acknowledge the COVID risks. But in the case of DVC rentals, Dreams actually refers out to DVC Rental Store and that's the extent of their involvement. The DVC Rental Store would be the entity that handles the rental arrangements.
