Dreams Unlimited Gift Basket

It is a perk for PC for whatever reason. My guess is that is the main "homeport" for DCL and where DU has their welcome center. I am sure logistics are involved in doing this in other ports. This is a fairly new perk and I don't understand how some feel they are entitled to this same perk in every port. It is a gesture of goodwill, not an entitlement IMO.

It is not like people are paying for this perk...it is a GIFT.

I believe it was posted before that it has to do with port rules. They have looked into it and absolutely can not do it in Miami. They even posted you can drive to port canaveral and pick one up. It's not DUs fault. And they certainly don't have to do it at all b

I second this. I go through DU because they are excellent at Disney vacations. They helped me immensely for my first trip to Disneyland.

Am I glad to be getting one when I cruise in December? Yes, but I don't feel entitled to it.

Keep up the great work DU and my agent Tracy!

We're sailing in just over two weeks and are really looking forward to this great gift!!!

Thank you DU and Marla (especially Marla... for putting up with all of our changes... I promise we're done now!)!!!! :goodvibes:cheer2:

We have been lucky to receive their gift basket also. Looking forward to the next one in January. We love using DU and especially Marla. She has been helping us for several years and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We have Marla as our DU agent as well. She is wonderful to work with!

I agree...that added touch does mean a lot to customers. My experience was the opposite. After posting on the boards about something that went a little wrong with our reservation (even though I said it was minor and overall I was happy with DU), my DU TA went from super nice to very curt, one sentence answers. There was nothing wrong with the responses, but the friendly conversation that I appreciated was gone.

Then my B2B cruises came and went, and even though I told her I would be booking another cruise, I heard nothing from her before or after. It really made me feel unwelcome as a customer.

So for that reason, I switched to a new TA and have booked three additional cruises with her. When we went on the first cruise booked with the new TA this year, I received a surprise OBC of $40 with a note from her to enjoy Palo! That was in addition to the great OBC I had already received. It really was just the icing on the cake to get that on the first day of the cruise!!!

So kudos DU, I think this is a wonderful gesture on your part. :thumbsup2 If something like that was done for us last year, I might still be with DU.
I've had the same issues, I'm surprised that what people are saying about my TA. We are definately going to give DU another chance but I've not been happy.

anyone know if this still has a highlighter in it? trying to decide if I need to pack one. less is more ... ;)

Ours had a highlighter last month! It was great because I forgot to pack one! :thumbsup2

Spoiler alert...I don't know if all the baskets are the same, but just in case, don't look if you want to be surprised!! ;)

A big thanks to DU! We loved our basket! :cheer2:

What a nice treat from DU! Can't wait to receive mine on the Fantasy in April! Does each family member receive a mug/bottle? How fun.

I have used another co for 4 previous cruises, and was never thrilled with the service. When I rebook on my next cruise can I tell them DU, or do I need a agents name also?

You can just say Dreams, no need for an actual agent name :)

Yes - every person in the stateroom/on the reservation will receive their own mug/bottle.

I hope these wonderful gifts will still be offered when we sail in May 2014 :thumbsup2. We received one for each of our cabins in May 2012, and they were VERY much appreciated :dance3:!
