Alright, so this is the part where I kinda just review everything over in general, and give some dining reviews, closing thoughts, etc;
Overall: The trip was great! Another amazing Disney trip, we managed to do everything and see everything, I (of course) wish we had had more time to explore, but hey, you live with what you can. I also do wish that the three of us had stuck together more often, and actually really had some good hang out times, but hey, to each there own, right?
April: A nice time to go, but since I dont have kids, or a job that only allows certain times off, I probably wouldnt go again. It was more crowded than I thought it would be, and even if the ride wait times werent long, the characters were ridiculous. The weather was also way colder than I thought it should be (especially since I thought it was colder than Dec/Jan, but thats just by sheer chance.
Resort->Caribbean Beach Resort: Holy cow. I seriously recommend this resort, everything is so beautiful, and awesome. Each little area is nicely secluded, and has its own pool, space of beach, and hammocks to lie in, theyre great! That being said, its not super spread out, and took under 5 minutes to walk over to the main hall (food court, gift shop, main pool, etc) The busses seemed to run pretty efficiently, just make sure to give yourself a buffer of an extra at least 5 minutes to get somewhere, as sometimes they busses pick you up first, and then do the loop of the hotel. My one complaint for CBR was that Old Port Royale (food court) wasnt open as late as they are in the Values, I liked being able to get back from the parks and be able to either grab a snack, or grab something for the next morning.
Food:
Cosmic Rays(Magic Kingdom): Always a good choice, you cant go wrong here, theres so many options to choose from and theyre delicious!
Pizzafari (Animal Kingdom): Good, the pizzas and salads are better than one would expect, and they do even have breakfast options, I just prefer something a little healthier, Id probably go elsewhere next time
Hoop De Doo (Ft Wilderness): Just do it. Seriously, we each paid $60.00, and got cornbread, salad, fried chicken, ribs, mashed potatoes, corn, strawberry shortcake, and as much beer/sangria that we could get in us. Not to mention that on top of that theres a show. This was the absolute highlight of the trip for all 3 of us, its something for people of all ages, and everyone just loved it!
Crystal Palace (Magic Kingdom): Again, GO. The food is delicious (breakfast that is!!) and fresh and theres lots of different options, you can eat healthy here, and theres lots to choose from. The interior is beautiful, service has always been efficient, and theres Winnie the Pooh characters. My one complaint here was my own fault, book a pre-park opening breakfast, I was sitting there the whole time not really enjoying it as I was thinking of all the things we should have been doing out in Magic Kingdom!
Caseys (Magic Kingdom): My new found deep friend best friend. Those corn dog nuggets are dangerous! Seriously! This is a nice little stop to grab something to eat, theyve got your basics, and some more adventurous options. I also really like that you can sit on the bleachers and watch old timey cartoons! Yay!
Aloha Isle (Magic Kingdom): Delicious. If you dont stop here for a treat at some point on your trip, you havent lived. Ive found that I either like the soft serve pineapple, or the vanilla soft serve in the pineapple juice, too much pine apple otherwise! Lawl.
ABC Commissonary (DHS): Surprisingly good. This would be pretty much the only place aside from Starring Rolls that Ill eat in DHS. Ive found something finally, everyone enjoyed there food here, it had a very big food court feel to it, but whatevs. The butter chicken bowl was good, tasty, and hot, I have no complaints.
Old Port Royale (CBR food court): Good. Theres lots of choices, and the one I had was good, kinda greasy, but hey, I lived, didnt I? Im also in love with the fact that so many meals in Disney come with cornbread. Its a good value of food for the price. Ill also take the time here to review the bar down by the pool. I loved it, the bartenders were quick, friendly, and awesome. They have some specialty drinks, and they were all pretty tasty, take the time to talk to them, and they were pretty great to hang out with!
Sunshine Seasons (Epcot): Oh my goodness that fruit & cheese plate was my favorite thing in the whole WORLD. UGH. It was so amazing and fresh, I love Sunshine Seasons, its got many choices of food, and a variety at that, great for a nice healthy snack, or a full meal!
Fiesta Margarita(Mexico, Epcot): Delicious. I *think* I might try something else next time, but thats just because Ive had this 3 times now, I might change it up! Haha, I like it because you get 3 flavors in one, and it may be $10.00, but there is a lot of tequila in it! Trust me!
G.M./Grey Goose Slush(France, Epcot): Dont. Even. Ask. Just. Do. It. The GM orange one that is, seriously the greatest thing I have EVER drank, Ive tried recreating it, and almost gotten there once, but hey, sometimes its nice to save things for Disney, right?! Haha.
Chefs De France(Epcot): Great!! I definitely recommend booking a later (2:30ish) lunch here, #1: it beats the heat when youre in WS and just want to DIE #2: you get the chance to see Remy, and #3: we got seated right away, great service, and the restaurant was not busy. I accept all of these things. I would eat here again, but I do really want to try all the countries restaurants first! Lawl. Everything was super delicious here, and I know the others loved it too!
Starring Rolls(DHS): The only other place Ill eat CS as DHS. Seriously, that place needs a quick service make over!! Ugh! Starring Rolls is amazing, they have lots of healthy options, and their sandwiches are great, fresh, great! And dont even get me started on their cupcakes, seriously, get the red velvet, and itll be the greatest thing youve ever tasted!!
1900 Park Faire (Grand Floridian, dinner): 1900 PF has some of the greatest food Ive ever had, especially for coming off of a buffet, everything was fresh, absolutely amazing, and definitely delicious! The food was well worth the price, and I would go back just for that, now, the characters, UGH. This was another HUGE highlight of our trip, and Tyler couldnt stop raving about the food (hey, hes a chef, hes gotta know his stuff!!). I highly, highly, recommend this to anyone, I also suggest getting a reservation for RIGHT as dinner opens up, I know for breakfast (and other people) have had a hassle of a time checking in and getting seated, waiting a long time, but if you go right around 4:45, everythings awesome!!
