Dreaming of the Disney DREAM, Feb 17, 2013

If all goes as planned, at this time next month we would be pooped from riding roller-coasters and walking around Bush Gardens. We decided not to go to WDW and try something different.

AAAHHH Can't wait!!!

Of course I had to figure out the temp in Celsius just for you :)

Bush Gardens is fun! There are lots of great rides - you have to do the Sheikra - AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
The wooden one is really good too! Well, they all are fun. :rotfl2:

Karin...thanks again for putting the list together with everyone's info...I am almost done...:goodvibes

32 DAYS!!!:yay::yay::yay:

Important! FE participants PLEASE read!

The FE exchange sign up is now officially closed!

Please take note:

- please check if the information in my list with details is correct.
- please check if all the names have the correct spelling. If not please notify me until Sunday, Jan 20. (We are going to personalize our gifts that weekend and will not have time to redo them)

I will post the link to the stateroom map - with all the rooms participating marked here and in my first post!
IF your stateroom number should change until 5 days before we sail I will be able to change the lists and the stateroom map!
After that I will not be able to do so and it is your responsibility to notify your fellow FE participants. (Little notes with the new stateroom number in the FE should do).

Well, guess that wraps it up! We cannot wait to meet you all and leave little gifts for you! :thumbsup2

Yes - thank you, Karin, for all of your hard work organizing the FE group. I can't wait either.

The dress up clothes that you see in the kids clubs belong to the kids clubs and any of the children can wear them at any time. My little girl LOVED dressing up last time.

So it looks like we currently have 18 staterooms participating in our FE with the possibility that one of those will drop out.

I will probably be doing a gift packet for each stateroom. Are there any staterooms who will be participating as more than one unit, for whom I need to create more than one stateroom gift?

I just got a email from Amtrak telling me that our trip home has been cancelled due to scheduled track work :( no alternate service is available.
so it looks like we are going to have to drive home. I'm not very happy right now, but I guess it will turn out ok.

I got the same email. Were you on the autotrain? The drive for us would have been about 24 hours and we were nervous to attempt that with young kids, so we ended up re-booking everything and are now flying. Our kids will now miss a few days of school, and it cost about $500 more. What an inconvenience. I had thought using the train would make less chance of problems like this.

Oh, and we need to re-think our FE gifts since they were rather large which wasn't a concern when we thought we were taking our car.

Yes it was the auto train, I have taken it many times and never had a problem. The woman was very nice on the phone and told me that they do not own the tracks and it was a outside company doing the work. she said we could come home on the 27 :rotfl2: but I have to get Ashley back home on Sunday.
With the 3 of us driving it should not be that bad maybe 16 hours and we will stop for the night somewhere. Ashley's flight home is not until 4:30 on Sunday so we have all day Saturday and half of Sunday to get home. Just hope the weather holds out.

We are quite a bit further north than you so our drive would be longer. Plus, we have 4 kids ranging in ages from 2-12. The thought of that drive with all the kids was not appealing. So we checked out flights and were able to do ok with them, so we opted to fly instead. We were excited for our first autotrain trip, but I guess we can try it out next time. And the thought of a direct flight on jetblue with TV's, as opposed to an 8 hour drive followed by a 17 hour train ride is actually pretty nice.

LOVE Direct TV in Jet Blue flights...there's something for everyone...
though I do miss playing travel games and cards during our flights...lol

32 DAYS!!!:yay::yay::yay:

You are welcome! We are going to personalize gifts this weekend and working on the deckplans! I'll post a link once they are done. :thumbsup2

Thank you! We are all very excited to give our gifts to our fellow dis cruisers!

You are welcome!
Giving out gifts is as much fun as receiving them. ;) We usually deliver small gifts but then we do it every day, so in the end it'll all add up! :goodvibes

I just love putting together the FE list. It is fun to see it grow. So looking forward to it! :goodvibes

The list is complete. The last family sent me a PM to let me know their stateroom number and I updated the list.
If you have a look at the list with details (red link) there are all the staterooms and number of people in it. :thumbsup2

We got our cruise package last yesterday!!! One more month!!! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Still waiting for our paperwork. :sad2: But even if it does not arrive in time I can always pick up luggage tags at the port. ;)

Thanks Karin for putting together the FE :thumbsup2!

Sorry about your train Kathy!

We got our cruise documents on Tuesday as well :cool1:!

Can't believe how close it's getting! Working on our FE gifts this weekend :)!

Is anyone doing the Walking & Kayaking Adventure on CC - Dutch and I are signed up since we thought it looked pretty cool!

Is anyone from the Pittsburgh area going on this cruise? We'll be leaving on the 13th...driving straight through...with 4 kids 4-12!
