So ready :)

Debbie - I am trying really hard not to be jealous of your awesome trip plans. Have a great time and be safe! :thumbsup2

Ok gang - Is anyone else planning on doing the tastings on our day at Nassau? DH wants to do the whiskey tasting. (YUCK! :sad2:) I was thinking wine or taquilla tasting. We are probably going to split up and each go to the one we want. So we are looking for drinking buddies!

Actually, most of my trip is visiting family! That's why I can go to so many places!

Tastings - YES! I don't hardly ever drink. I think I had a glass of wine in February or March.... that kind of thing. I do work a lot and drive the girls around and stuff... I am REALLY looking forward to this vacation to sort of let loose... If I can learn something (these tastings are lessons, right?;)) then all the better!:goodvibes:rolleyes1

I'm not really a drinker, but will have something fruity every once in a while (especially on the cruise)! I don't like wine and haven't drank whiskey since I was 'underage' and after a 1/5 got nice and sick! So I guess I'm out here. I have heard about the 'mixology' thing and may want to look into that.

We've done the wine tastings on a couple of recent cruises so I don't think we will do it again this trip. Also did a martini tasting, which made us realize we aren't martini people.

Didn't realize there was a whiskey or tequila tasting - I'll have to consider that. Do you have a link to what is offered and the price?

According to the latest 3-day Navigator I could find, there are going to be four tastings on Day Two: wine, whiskey, tequila, and mixology. They are instructional classes and you get a good bit to drink. We did the beer tasting on the Wonder. (Well, DH drank, while I watched. I was pregnant at the time, so no beer for me.:guilty:) It was really fun. The cost was $15.00 per person and I think he got six 8oz beers. DVC members get a discount (or at least they used to). You can sign up at guest services once on board. I just can't decide which one...or two :rolleyes1...I want to do.

Thanks for that info. Dale was asking about beer tasting and I'd not heard of that. Guess they don't have it on the three night Dream though. I still think one of these may be interesting.

I just wanted to give a Big thanks to Patricia for all the working that has been put in to setting up this group, the FB and Google. It's all so fun.

I am looking forward to doing one of the tastings not sure what one to do they all sound good. Wine, Martini, Beer, Mixology etc... Looks like some of our group is going as well Hope to see you in the class.

Thanks for the Info about the Port times. I can not wait till Aug 2nd to find out how ever they actually works. I already have my Car service set up to arrive around 10:30 Did that Months and Months ago. So just the waiting game.

When are most people arriving Early Am? Later? From all the TR i have been reading it looks like lots of time wating in lobby between check in and boarding times (Could be changing on Aug 2???) Do we have an area in the lobby where the Dream Weavers are gathering?

Can not wait to meet the Group and find out info about where and whens.

Quick Question to the long post. AS a First Time Cruiser any must know tips/Tricks General Cruising or DCL/Dream Tips. Already read the entire passporter DCL 2011 book Great btw lots of great info.

Mixology sounds great to me, I think I will try that one.:yay:

Bryan- I think from what I know about passporter, you probably have just become more informed than someone who is a gold castaway club member!:rotfl:

Bryan, thanks so much. I love organizing things so this is fun for me too.

I'll organize my own beer tasting :goodvibes Anybody up for it :cool1::woohoo:

Brian, as a first time cruiser, DON"T SWEAT the small stuff. :cool2:
From what i think i probably might have read :surfweb: you have a passporter and obviously am scanning the disboards. Just make notes and plans of what you want to do, but realize, like a good football coach (Andy Reid) (E-A-G-L-E-S) you will be forced to re-evaluate your game plan at half time. When you are done this short cruise you will have notes for a new more complicated game plan for your next longer Disney cruise. You will be convinced to leave a deposit for another cruise. It's in the water they give you and in the air piped into your room. "Must leave deposit for another cruise". So bottom line, sit back, relax and ride the waves.

:rotfl: but soooo true :)

Got my cruise documents for the first half of our B2B cruise....just waiting for the docs for this cruise and were all set:thumbsup2

Just found out the following attractions will be closed for refurbishment during our WDW trip after the cruise; :headache:
Magic Kingdom - Casey's Corner (eatery)
Disney Hollywood Studios - The Studio Back Lot Tour
Animal Kingdom - It's Tough to be a Bug
On a lighter note, i hear Orlando is opening a new theme park. It's called The Anthony Fantasy Land.:rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2:

Whew! It's been a while since I've been on here. I had to stop due to it becoming all-consuming! I've caught up with all of the posts, though, and I can't believe it's only 41 days away! I think I finally figured out how to surprise the kids after keeping it a secret for a year and a half!

Where did you guys find the info. on the mixology tastings, etc.? We are definitely interested it that!

Cathy, I think they found info in Navigators that have been posted online.

They are all good, but I particularly enjoyed the tequila, martini and beer tastings in that order. I have a friend who did three in one day (wine, beer, martini), but I don't recommend it. I always try to limit myself to two tastings per day when cruising. pirate:

I like all three but if I did that you'd find me on the topdeck gifting the ocean with the remains! Makes me sick just thinking about all 3 in one day!

The fact that I don't any of those, guess I'm out. Would be nice to have a 'tasting' of lots of different mixed (fruity) drinks :)
