"Dream Weavers" September 1, 2011

Your FE looks really great! I have been working on my FE gifts. I am getting excited!

It's actually a nylon drawstring bag that I trimed in DCL ribbon. I cut the front in half to make a pocket. the individual ears and logos were cut out from the extra ribbon and I used iron-on tape to attach them. Super easy - the whole project took about 20 minutes. Got the bag and the ribbon from ebay. total cost was under 8.00. wish I could say I thought of this myself, but i stole it from another Diser on one of the FE threads.

Side note: when I finished, I did a "happy dance". :woohoo: I am not very crafty and this was a pretty big undertaking for me. DH was standing in the doorway and caught me in the act. His response looked something like this...:sad2: then this...:rotfl2:

We are awaiting my son's passport arrival. It was just three weeks this week, so I shouldn't be so impatient, but I am (just like I am for this trip, so want it here NOW)!

Hi everyone! I am messaging from work again as I still don't have a computer at home (virus, crash, ugly) but I was just talking with some family yesterday and my brother told me that when he and his family applied for passports thiers took two weeks while his took two months!:scared1:

It's a good job you did your applications so early!

I made an extender and have been shopping :woohoo:

Well I think you did a fine job and I'd be doing that Happy Dance to get something marked off the list for vaca!!! Good job Jennifer!

I know that's the scary part, no rhythm or reason to this. My only fear if it takes a long time, is we had to send in the original birth certificate with the passport (so I'd have to order another one of those). Hope it comes this week.

Ok group, we are just about to the cut off for the Fish Extender sign ups. Debbie will be leaving Australia for the states next week and I promised a definite number before then. If you've been on the fence about this and not sure, please decide today and let me know by posting here, pm-ing me of posting on our f/b page (link on first post).

Greece, not Australia, thankfully. I would hate to think of that flight!:scared1:

I am going for goodies this weekend!:goodvibes

Ok, I just pm-ed each person listed on the first post. If you didn't get a pm from me, please let me know. Just trying to confirm stuff.

For those that don't read the boards daily may not be aware of a change being made to the port arrival times.

Port Canaveral is implementing changes to the arrival times (due to so many people being in the area at one time). As of August 2nd, you will not be allowed to enter the port before 11am (no getting there at 9am to line up, you won't be allowed to park either). The 'port arrival time' that you select when you check in online is what time you will need to arrive (you can arrive later, but not earlier). They said you will not be permitted to enter until it is your 'time'.

There are several threads on the boards about this topic and it's a hot one. Until people actually post from the August 2nd departures we will not know exactly how this is going.

Just wanted to make sure you all were aware of this.

Debbie - I am trying really hard not to be jealous of your awesome trip plans. Have a great time and be safe! :thumbsup2

Ok gang - Is anyone else planning on doing the tastings on our day at Nassau? DH wants to do the whiskey tasting. (YUCK! :sad2:) I was thinking wine or taquilla tasting. We are probably going to split up and each go to the one we want. So we are looking for drinking buddies!

Ooh, I saw the information about the later arrival time, but I didn't even think about parking. Luckily, we have family staying at a hotel at the port, so we could always hang out there, if needed. If anyone hears feedback from early August departures, please share!
