Had a nice 10km new year run this morning and now I'm starting to pack for WDW marathon since I leave wednesday......to everyone out there running it. Best of luck to you all, and those of you not running it. Help pray for good weather for us

hope everyone had a great holiday! Been looking at the new backstage videos of the dream it looks awesome! 23 days till I leave for our next cruise on the magic plus 2 nights at the poly, very excited but am really looking forward to being on the new ship Sept 1st!

Alex, I think the weather is supposed to be a very big improvement over last years. Will you be at the WISH meet Friday afternoon at POP?

The drive really was pretty good. We made it to Newark to get our car in about 15 hours. DH drove through the night.

Hello All!!!

Finally joining in here! We are booked and ready to go (well, not really ready...ack, gotta get passports, etc., etc.)

It will be my kids (both boys, will be 8 and 12) first cruise - 2nd for DH and me (but that was over 12 years ago and I was HORRIBLY morning sick the entire time [not perfect timing....but great results!]..... it was NOT fun at all!)

Can't wait!!!

I'm getting there....really doesnt seem real yet. Hopefully, as we get the rest of our plans together (we will be in Orlando a few days prior - not planned out yet...) things will seem more real.

Virginia, welcome to our group. We are looking forward to the cruise.

We just got home last Monday night from Marathon weekend at Disney. Dale and I did our first full marathon. What an amazing experience! The blisters are healing and my swollen feet are getting back to normal and I'm actually considering doing this again! I really enjoyed it more than the 1/2 with going through all four parks. I was bad though and only trained to 15 miles (I've been in school, working and dealing with family issues) so training got pushed to the back burner. I want to do it again and do it right. (not sure I'm actually thinking clearly, cause I said (as hubby did), "One and Done" afterwards!

I've started back with school, so dis time is more limited. If anyone comes across a link to the newest photos that came out recently, can you post it here (I couldn't find it). I know the first cruise is coming up so they'll be lots of pics soon, but I'm dying to see what it looks like.

We booked this cruise right after the schedule was announced. My wife is on the disboard as Liz Arjay. We have sons 16, 17 and daughter 14. Just got back from the Southern Caribbean Magic Holiday and am now counting down to this one on the Dream!

Welcome from us too! You cannot imagine how happy I am to see that another 15 year old DD is coming along! mine will be excited to hear that because on our last cruise there ended up being no teens in the meet group

Hi - Just found this board and will see you all on the Dream! We are: Liz and John ("Decked Out"), and DS16, DS15, and DD13 (although they will be 17, 16, and 14 at time of cruise). We were on the 11 day Christmas cruise to Southern Caribbean (left 1 month ago today!) which was a BLAST, but you can't imagine how much luggage a family of 5 needs for 11 days with 2 formal nights, 2 semi-formal, 1 pirate, tropical night, and all the Christmas stuff to boot! We had an enormous FE group (65!) which was practically a full time job, and a huge suitcase with nothing but FE gifts. But other than the luggage, it was a fantastic cruise. There were many teens, and that group had a wonderful time with some special events of their own - a Homecoming Dance, for example. Also, we were the first cruise (I think) to try out the "Wave phones" which are the new cell phones that work on the ship and on Castaway Cay. They were terrific.

Anyway, now that I have finally unpacked from that trip, we are now looking ahead to our Dream cruise, and happy to have found a DISboard for it!

Looking forward to meeting everyone, and of course not needing 10 suitcases!

my grandkids are the same ages of your kids 15 and 14 so Im sure they will be meeting one another in the clubs, I plan on doing a spa package for my 14 year old granddaughter as a surprize, I know she s gonna love it! are we doing a fe exchange? I ve forgotten if we have talked about it and don t want to go back through all the posts to see.

Liz, wow an 11 day cruise!!! Sounds awesome. I would of been overwhelmed with that many in the FE exchange. As soon as I get a chance, I'll update the first post with our newest members.

bound for disney - I was considering a spa package for my little one too, but she really isn't that into it. What kind of treatment were you thinking of booking for your granddaughter? Sounds like a lovely present!
I am pretty sure we are doing a Fish Exchange. I know that we want to participate!

Now, back to scouring the boards for info on the Dream! lol

I know VERY little about fish exchanges... I know the basics, that families give each other surprise gifts. But what sorts of things do they usually give and is it only one time you give? Curious if I can get myself together to do it. Sounds like fun - thats for sure....but I have been sooooo busy at work and it will onyl get busier as spring and summer come....hmmm.....
