"Dream Weavers" September 1, 2011

Welcome Ladyleslie! I agree with you on the 'what the heck' part. I too hem and haw at times that I won't keep the back 2 back, but I think we all know in the end things have to be really drastic to cancel a DCL cruise!:rotfl: Anyway, come what may this leg of my vacation I won't cancel, no matter what. Also, as luck would have it, I will be up in your neck of the woods the last week of July! :hippie: Welcome aboard!

We just booked our first ever cruise on the Dream. We are very excited. It will be me, DH and DD (she is 20 will be 21) .I have been reading about the fish extender(what a great idea, sounds like fun, count me in)and all things Disney /Disney Cruise Line..to the point of obsession lol. I am looking forward to meeting you all. :cheer2:

Hello all

So many sleeps left before sept 1,this will be our first ever cruise,so happy its with Disney..we are doing wdw aug25 to sept 1 as well.
Me-Jackie, DH-Greg and DD-Megan.

Wow,, more Canadians eh!

Anyone else booking dates for the Fantasy starting tomorrow. We are. Were sitting with a dummy date waiting to transfer. Were planning on doing the Fantasy August 2012 (now that seems far away, ships not even started yet)

It sure seems quiet here. Did anyone catch the float out? I watched a time lapse on YouTube. It's so exciting! I was also excited to hear about the shows, but not so excited to hear about the 75$ Remy price tag. WOW! I bet is an unforgettable experience, though.

I am hoping to book a dummy date when on the cruise for a med cruise sometime in 2013, or even 2012 if I can work it out, but I will have a daughter starting University then (hopefully!) so I don't want to commit really to anything. I love the anticipation!:goodvibes

Wow, I cannot believe I haven't been on in this long. Life has been so busy, with my college classes and work and home. I am so sorry I missed a couple new folks.

Welcome to our group Jackie and Tarin (and families)!!!

Jackie, our dd will be 23 and our ds will be 20 when we cruise, so it's good to know that there will be some others their age.

Tarin, Hope you had an awesome cruise and hope you'll share some of it with us.

I'll update the first post. If you haven't given me your info, please post it so we can put names with 'disnames' when we meet.

$75!!! Wow. I've been MIA for a few weeks so I've obviously missed some updated info.

Greg, welcome. My hubby is on here too, but I made him get his own Disname, lol. If you have any questions on abbreviations, just yell. We all had to learn somewhere. We had a veranda on our first (and only) Disney cruise two years ago. We kept trying to keep our trip next September 'affordable' but we had to finally break down and upgrade to the veranda. I think you'll love it.

Alex, thanks for posting that video. I've been so absent from the boards, I didn't even realize the ship was done! Where have I been.

Deb, I LOVE to hear that horn.

Welcome to all our new friends.:cool1: It seems like forever before the big day, but i promise you when it arrives it will arrive quickly. If that makes sense. Has anybody started planning on when they are arriving and where they are staying before the cruise?:confused3 Several years ago for our first cruise we stayed at the Radisson at the Port. It was acceptable. Nothing great or bad. It was just for the one night and a place to leave the car. As our "Dream " starts to materialize we should plan on a meet up.

:woohoo: is all I can say (do) after watching the pictures and the video!!! Thanks for both!

I am about half way in planning my activities for before and after the cruise, meaning I know pretty much where I will be sleeping each night for the month prior and how I will be travelling from place to place, but not details yet like sights, parks, etc.:hippie::cool1: We will be in NYC for about 10 days end of July, beginning of August (well, Staten Island, actually. it is considered nyc, I think :rolleyes1) I haven't figured out which day to go to the new Disney store, but when I do I will be there 3 - 4 hours at least! :rotfl: Then we are off to the treasure coast for another 9 or so days, then a 3 night on Carnival with family, then 2 weeks in Orlando, then the dream on the 28th!!! Yes, I have decided to keep the b2b! I tell my daughter that we won't need to eat our first 3 weeks in America, because we will eat so much the last 2!!! (QSFD at Disney). After the cruise we have to skedaddle (sp?) on the first bus transfer out of Canaveral because we have an early flight booked back to Newark, NJ. via Detroit!:confused3 who cares, it was cheap! :lmao: Anywho.... Those are my plans and I am willing to meet with anyone who will be at the same place at the same time:laughing::dance3: (why isn't there any drinking with friends smilie? :confused3);)

DH finally received the vacation picks for next year so we were finally able to book. We were originally trying for the 8/25 cruise but they had no room for what we wanted but DVC helped us find a room on 9/1

We upgraded tp a balcony room this is our incentive cruise for Adding on.

So we will be going from WDW to the cruise.

Excited to do this.

Need to get on the stick with potty training the boy.
