People keep mentioning that they saw the "Dream Team" at certain locations in WDW. What does this "Dream Team" look like? What should we be looking for when we are at the parks?

Does it help if the entire family wears the same color shirts, or somethiing to attract attention?

I believe they wear light blue shirts and white vests, you would think I would know as I won the Magic Fast Pass in MGM in November, but to tell you the truth I was so excited I think I blacked out a little:goodvibes The Dream Team awards its prizes based on a time-place-location that is determined by (I think) random computer just before they are sent out into the park. They have no choice or control over who gets the prize. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. There are also many Magical Moments that are given out as the cast members see fit, but they are not "Prizes".

The above is correct, but I remember the vests being dark blue. It was cold though when we were there, so they may have been wearing dark blue coats.

Drawing attention to your group won't affect your chances. The official dreams are part of a sweepstakes which means everything is predetermined and controlled by an outside accounting firm.

It is correct that they wear light blue shirts and, when in "prize mode" (which is only a small fraction of the time they work), they wear white vests and travel exclusively through backstage areas, so it is rare to see them in the vests.

It is of no point to look for them because the people they are giving the prizes to have already been pre-selected by the time you see them and, chances are, if you see them then they are not in "prize mode" anyways.

That makes a lot of sense Vemnox. I could easily get sucked into being on "DREAM TEAM ALERT" so much that I wouldn't be all there for my trip. While I would LOOOVE to win something, I must remind myself why we are going...to enjoy something as a family, and to make memories. I guess there is just so much Disney magic experienced in the past when they weren't giving anything away it just makes everyone feel like it could be their lucky day. I do hope more people from the DISboards win, and we get to hear about their good fortune!

We just got back and won 2 seperate times goodies from the Dream team :) They have on white pants and a baby blue and white top. They also have a black pouch strapped to their sides. I also spotted a couple Dream team members by themselves and talked to them about the dream team. I asked if they where part of management and also how did they get to be on the dream team. One guy said he posted for the job and that after the dream team period is over they may resume their old jobs. He said he wasn't sure as to where they go from that point. I tried to find out what they are giving away and how many of the lanyards with pins were given away. They said its a secret and can't say LOL From what I was observing they are out and about and randomly give away the prizes.. We won a lanyrard before boarding Soarin then won Mickey ears the next day after exiting Expedition Everest. It was so cool when we won the lanyards It felt like I had won the lottery...
