We just got back from Disneyland after staying in the “Dream Suite”. Our wonderful and very thoughtful friend won the prize in the “year of a Million Dreams” giveaway. She was randomly chosen outside of the Big Thunder Railroad. The “suite” is as good as advertised. We had dinner at the Blue Bayou, rode as in the Grand Martial car in the parade, watched Fantasmic and the Firework from the balcony of our suite, and had a 2 hour after-hours tour of the park. It was a truly magical experience. In addition, they gave us a CD of all the photos that Disney employees took of us. It was 24 hours that we will remember always!

Dreams really do come true! :yay:

I would be on :cloud9: 1 That is sooooo exciting!!!!!!! I can't even begin to imagine. Will you post pictures please?????

I am SO JEALOUS!!!
That really is too cool and something I'm sure you will never forget! :)

Were you in the parade on Tuesday of last week??? Just curious... I am not sure how many times a day/week they give that prize away, but I did catch the parade on Tuesday and saw the family that won the dream suite.

We were in the parade on Sunday. It is awarded daily, with some exceptions. I will post pictures when I return home from work.

There are some great pictures here taken by professional with a little better lighting than what we had. http://www.visionsfantastic.com/daddyb/2008_01_31_Update/DisneyDreamSuiteTour/

You must have almost had a heart attack when you found out! I would be sooo happy.... :lovestruc its something speacial that not many people have been able to enjoy or will be able to!!!! Can't wait to see pics and hear all about it!

I would be tempted to stay awake all night, exploring, enjoying the amazingly beautiful tub area, patio etc.

So happy for you!! What was the after hours tour like?

There were 6 of us and our concierge/guide. She was able to give us a tour of the park after everybody had left. It was just us and maintenance crews. We got a great history of both the park and of Walt Disney himself. We walked for almost 2 hours and took a ton of pictures that you could never get when the park was open with tons of people present. The cast members that we worked with were all top notch, professional, and totally passionate about the Disney experience.

The one thing in my mind that really stood out was how clean everything was right after 60,000 people had just left the park. No trash anywhere. There was routine maintenance going on, but the park was basically already spotless. The crews during the day do an awesome job with the park. We were told that cleanliness and organization was a huge priority for Walt Disney.

Were you able to leave the suite at any point you wanted and walk around the empty park?

We were only allowed to tour the park after closing with our concierge/guide. After the tour we had to stay in our suite until a little before the park opened. Although, that was hardly a penalty considering how nice the suite was. We could have stayed inside for a week if they would have let us. There was an outdoor courtyard that was accessible at all times. There was also 24 hour concierge service. :)

Thats just awesome! I am so incredibly jealous

I was just wondering if there was a "real person" out there that had this experience. What a fantastic moment! Please post pictures and the rest of us can live vicariously through you. :jumping1:
