DREAM Sail Date December 11th 2011

Fellow Dream Cruisers since no one has posted in a few days I thought I would wish everyone an almost happy summer. It is 90 + today in Williamsburg VA and getting hotter!
I wanted to share that the photo of my two dogs like the one on DL1957 is now part of the dachshunds of the month on the Dachshund Club of America website! Pretty neat to have family celeberties!
We are getting close to the 6 month mark:cool1:

Hey All!

Just thought I'd let you know I'll be joining you guys on the Dream for the Dec 11th sailing.

We're in Category 05E - Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah, but no idea what room (Currently GTY) .

This is our 2nd Cruise, our first was a 4 day Bahaman on the Wonder a couple of years ago.

Probably going to totally avoid Nassau this time and make use of the near empty ship instead. :)

Welcome,:cheer2: this group has been pretty quiet likely dealing with summer upon us!

Quiet is an understatement! You would think the ship was empty.:lmao:

You think this thread is quiet.... it is FAR more active than the one I was a part of for our last cruise DCL cruise last January. Guess I just pick dates that don't have a lot of Dis'ers! I was starting to think that quiet cruise meet threads were the norm, but maybe not?

The Panama Canal one is still going, years later. Check out the Hawaii one! It must be the shorter cruises since there's not as much to plan.

Cruise is paid off. Week at WDW paid off including tickets. Universal room and tickets paid. Just have a couple of misc hotel rooms and Legoland left to pay. Where is everyone staying before the cruise? We're at the Residence Inn.

Wow, you are doing a lot! We are going down Sat night and coming home Thursday when we get off the boat! Not sure yet where we are staying.... last time we stayed at the Fairfield in Cocoa Beach... we'll be somewhere we can use our Marriott points that won't use them ALL up!

Correction... it was the Fairfield in Titusville!

we're flying in to Miami on the first, staying at SSR. So I'll be there for a good portion before the cruise.

We are going to have to see if we can meet each other this time. I believe your family and ours were on the Baltic and recent Repo and Alaska Cruises!

We are going to fly in on the 11th from Atlanta. This is our first time as I have said before.
What time should we try to make our flight for and does the DCL busses have set times they leave the airport? :confused3
We would like to get to port early to get an early boarding # to start enjoying the ship.:yay:
My wife thinks we should fly in the day before so we don't have to worry about delays.

I would fly in the day before. Too many things can go wrong with coming in the day of the cruise. DCL busses start at 9:30am I think.

Hi everyone. I've been checking in to check for new posts but yep it's been quiet. :3dglasses

gydell I'm glad you asked the question. I have no idea where we will be staying before the cruise.

Initally I was planning our park trip pre-cruise but after talking with the DK's and DH I think it would be best to plan the park trip post-cruise so they don't miss 2wks of school.

So now I need to figure out where to stay on Saturday night before the cruise. Any recommendations? How soon in advance do I need to call to make reservations?

After the cruise we plan on checking in at POR-French for a week.:yay:

gydell, I think we may end up staying at the Radisson too. Looks very nice. I don't think we'll do the cruise package though.

So what's everyone's seating times for dinner? We have the second seating. Not by choice but I don't mind.

We have second dining too due to a DCL employee screw up. If it stays this way then we won't be eating in the dining rooms.

We're at the Radisson at the port. Nice place.

Hey - just noticed that your earlier post said Residence Inn... any particular reason why you changed your mind? Just wondering what the difference is between the two?
