Hey all,
This will be my second Disney cruise, first time on the Dream, and first time for my kids.
I booked a Deluxe Family Ocean View room, Cat. 8C, deck 8, And I see that most of the rooms, have round bath tubs,,, can anyone tell me, how they are?
I am worried that I wont be able to give both of my boys a bath at once, or that my husband who is 6'5, will not have ample room for showering.
Past cruisers,, please let me know thoughts.
Also, any tips would be wonderful!
We want to make this the best family vacation ever!
Even got our 2 year old potty trained so he can join his brother in the kids clubs!!
Thanks everyone for any help/tips!

I can't comment on the round tubs on the Dream, as I have yet to cruise her, but even if your son is potty trained, if he's not 3 years old, he cannot go to the clubs. He'll still be in the nursery (which, of course, is an additional charge). Children must be 3 AND potty trained.

He will, however, be able to use the pools, since he won't be in a swim diaper. :)

At the top of the boards there's a stickied thread titled something like Fantasy Picture Links, look at that thread and click on the link for the 4A cabins for pictures of the round bathtub. You can also read back a page or 2, since someone just asked a similiar question about the round tubs.

I'm not 6 feet plus inches tall, but IMHO if your hubby fit in a rectangular tub he will fit in the round which is wider due to its circukae shape. It would ve easier I would think to bathe kids in the round as well vecausee their is a sitting area on the tub for you. :goodvibes

I don't know how old or big the boys are but I would think if they're young enough for you to still need to bathe them then you should be okay with baths together with the round tub. Like another poster mentioned, there's a ledge that's like a seat. The handheld shower head should also be a huge convenience. The round tub isn't like the size of an at-home standard but it's not travel-trailer small either. The space should be fine for your hubby, too. Mine is 6'2"/200 lbs and had no problems whatsoever. In fact, not to be graphic or set minds in motion, but we ran late getting ready for dinner one night and both DH & I ended up in the shower at the same time. I'm not petite. I'm 5'9", average build. It was a little tight working around each other but not impossible. We both loved the rain shower head in the shower ceiling. That was wonderful!

**edit**
Wanted to add that vacation & different accommodations is how I got my boys transitioned from baths to showers when they were little squirts. We ended up in a hotel room late one night that had a bathtub scary enough that I didn't want them sitting in it. We laid a towel on the bathtub floor, turned the shower on, and bathed them standing. They loved it! Turned into a permanent thing. They'd walk over to the dry end of the tub, get bathed, then go dance around in the "rain". Lol!

We were on the Dream in Feb. To be honest, I didn't notice the bathtub being that round when using it. I thought it was so cool when I looked at it the first time, but when actually using it, it was just like a normal tub/shower. HTH.
You will have soooo much fun!!!!! It was our first cruise and we can't wait to cruise again!

We had an 8c on the dream and here is my youngest sitting in the tub. He was 4 at the time. Both my boys, 7 & 4 took a bath together every night with no problems.
