Dream Negativity??

I'm not a hater, but she comes in last place in my ranking. We prefer the classic ships by far and pick the Fantasy over the Dream. A cruise on the Dream is better than no cruise, but I'd choose a classic ship every time if given the choice.

The only thing I like better on the new ships is Cat 5E aft Verandahs ;)

Those are the best verandah rooms! We book that every time on Dream. But I'm with you - I love classics over new ships, and with the changes made, the Magic is now my favorite.

We just sailed the refurbed Magic and while the service and entertainment dining all received top marks, the ship rooms did not. I think all the rooms in our group had something going on. Some of the family missed the updated tech stuff like midship detective. I was really happy with the animation show at AP, but the family still really loves Crush on the Dream. Bottom line is that for us, the Dream was really great. The Magic was really good. I have started recommending the Dream more so to newer cruisers, at least until the Magic can figure out how to get its staterooms up to par with the newer ship. We had absolutely zero complaints on the Dream and our VGT rooms were the best rooms we have ever, ever stayed in. My parent's veranda on Magic for a bit more didn't come close. Not sure why Dream is the sort of black sheep of the fleet. She definitely won our family over from the get go and raised really high expectations for us, a very high bar set.

The character lines actually appeared LONGER on the Magic than the Dream.

I agree with this! I even saw a mom about to jump Jack Sparrow's handler. On Dream, they had regular cues with 'ropes', but on Magic, the handler just said "no more photos", nothing closing off the line. she was about to freak out on him. It had evidently been happened to her the entire cruise. And the character line like just Daisy literally wrapped around the entire atrium. We never waited long for Tiana on the Dream. Not sure what the deal was on Magic.

Just got off the Dream today (5/22) and it was a wonderful cruise. We didn't notice any issues with the overall maintenance of the ship and all the staff we encountered were just great. :sail:
