Dream: May 22, 2011

I'll 3rd Wolfgang Puck at DTD. My favorite there, though, is Earl of Sandwich. Great, great sandwiches, and as far as I know, there are only two locations in the states (the other being in Las Vegas).

They are actually supposed to be opening an Earl of Sandwich in Boston next year too. I so can't wait

FINALLY finished the sewing and lableing part of my FE, off to lowes or home depot of michaels to find the finnials for the ends.......
You can tell wich one I did first! :lmao:

Great job! I'm not good at sewing, so I had to order one on ebay, but it looks better than anything I could have thrown together.

Is it Friday yet?

Is there a captain's night that we are supposed to dress up for? I never read it or I read it and I totally forgot about it:confused3

There's an optional semi-formal night you can dress up for if you want. You'll see everything from evening gowns to "Sunday best" to just the normal dinner casual.

Thanks, if it was just me and my husband we would dress up I guess, but with 2 kids I don't think we will go all out.:goodvibes

Ok I'm trying to remain calm. We start the roadtrip Thurs.

JQ and I just finished our FE project late last night.

Doing laundry now/ wrapping up work projects and attacking the to do list all at the same time :rotfl2: Nothing is packed! We're changing our boarding name announcement to Wille Makit and Betty Wont.

OK cruise vets if you are listening, how cold is this ship? I am not a big fan of A/C and plan to be on deck at night - what do I need - hoodie/jacket?

Wow I have been away for awhile... this thread grew quite a bit!!

So ready for this vacation! We are headed to Disney Wednesday for a dose of pre-cruise magic to celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary, my graduation from RN nursing school, my new job in the ER at a hospital operated by Duke and I just received my acceptance letter to the University of Virginia!!! You know... since we are celebrating so many things... maybe we should stay an extra week :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I have enjoyed reading all your posts and will have fun trying to spot you on the ship.

See you all soon!!!!!!!!!!!

PI: I know how you feel. I have 3 "sticky" lists on my laptop screen of things that need to be done before we leave, luckily we don't leave till Friday morning. I am packed though at least, a bag for the train trip, another for Saturday at the Hotel and then the cruise bags.
That boarding name is the best:lmao: You'll make it.
I've been watching the weather for next week and the Bahamas is in the mid 80's during the day and mid 70's at night. If you want to be on deck in the evenings and you don't like AC, I'd throw in a lightweight sweater or wrap just to be "safe", I don't think you'd need a hoodie though. Good luck on the packing. Isn't this "stressful fun stuff" crazy!!

Cruise is coming soon, and looks like everyone is getting ready for the big day.
This will be my second cruise with Disney, yet my first on the new vessel. There are so many people in our F.E. that there are two seperate meeting dates. :woohoo: I am psyched for this trip and the fish extendor is looking great.:cool2: Oh and i just got home from graduating from the cp. it was awesome had a great time and met alot of really great people. i will bring my grad ears with me.

Lol I am no where NEAR ready! I have four stickies on my laptop staring at me. am I packed? No, but the laundry is done! I will be folding and sorting and packing tommorrow after my Job interview with St Local Hospital Nunnery (hahaha right?) for an ER admitting position! I have a pile of electronics, and their necessary chargers, earphones, ad nauseum in front of my tv on the floor, I have a few CDs to burn photos to, (not bringing my laptop, but terra is bringing hers!) my video camera, and of course my Nikon.
I actually put the new luggage tags (no not the cruise ones yet!) onto the suitcases, and am debating putting a red stripe somewhere on our black and blue bags, for easier ID.
Printing out addresses for hotel and cruise terminal, and LAMINATING it, so I can get my happy behind where I need to go in Spokane, Orlando, and PC. I have the siggy page printed out, I have my cruise documents ready to go into the carry on, once I add the passports...... One last FE thing (of terras) needs to be completed. We decided to deliver our FEs all in one bag per person, and the "room bag" will have a label with room number and the tag from all of us, that way, you just match up the label and its from us!

ok those of you who have flown SWA before, quick question about plane changes. I know that you dont have assigned seating..... if you have to change planes, do they let those who are continuing on the second leg, board first, or do we have to go through the cattle call boarding process AGAIN? I could call SWA and find out, but I figure someone might know!

IronMan: It's good to hear from you. Congratulations on graduating from the CP!! It sounds like you had a great experience.

Congrats to Greg M on your graduation also. You and my DH can trade some stories - he worked in the ER some years ago before he took a cushy 8-5 Residency practice position.

MTMomma: How is George's sister doing?
I collected all the cords for the cell phones/i-pod/camera last night and put them in a case. Hopefully I don't forget that case:rotfl:. I'm taking my laptop too, just to use to download pictures/videos to so I don't fill up my memory card too quickly. I have a Nikon Cool Pix.....love that little camera, takes great pictures and isn't too complicated to use the special features.

Only 71 hours till we leave:thumbsup2

They don't - it's a cattle call for every flight. What you can do, though, is check in to your flight right at the 24-hour mark, which will allow you to get a low boarding number for both your initial flight, as well as your transfer flight.

Just checked the weather:

Cocoa Beach: :beach: Saturday - 87, Sunny, 0% chance of precip.
Sunday - 87, Sunny, 0% chance of precip.

Bahamas: Monday - 86, 30% chance of isolated T storms
(love watching storms over the ocean :goodvibes)
Tuesday - 85, Pt. Cloudy, 20% chance of precip.:sunny:

Wednesday - 85, Pt Cloudy, 20% chance of precip.

Cocoa Beach: Thursday - 86, Sunny, 0% chance of precip

I'll take that weather for the trip.

Does anyone know what kinds of food we are allowed to bring into the shows??

Kids what to know!!!
Thanks!!

Luckily we paid the ten dollars each way for the convienience on Chances and my tickets. We figured that if Ash doesnt make it to the seat next to us, oh well, as long as she is on the plane!

She is doing great, out of the hospital. Not sure if they cleared her for travel to see George in Orlando after the cruise, but will see.

Thank you!! That sounds like a blast! I love the ER... never a dull moment!

You'll be fine. So long as one of you has an "A" boarding pass, all of you will get to sit where you want, as Southwest allows you to save seats. The only exception to that rule is if the flight is sold out, and you're trying to save it for someone who doesn't exist (so that you can have an empty seat on the trip), but even if you're the first one on the plane, and they're the last one on the plane, you'll still get to sit next to each other. ;)

Has anyone had any trouble taking toy sword or gun for pirate night? DH has plastic POC sword and a toy Blunderbuss.:confused3pirate:
