Dream: May 22, 2011

Its starting to really tick me off that "non-smokers" have more "right" to use something such as an OPEN AIR BEACH than a smoker who has paid the exact same amount of money. It really ticks me off.

YOU are my BEST friend!!!!:hippie:

How many miles you have to travel?

I have to drive 1159miles!! I wish I was there now. We spent six hours moving snow off the driveway today, then it snowed five to six more inches. We had alot of family time.

I want to book a cruise in April 2012 or may be June 2012. The price is really good online now. I heard that on board booking has a discount. Is it better to book what you want now or wait until you are on board?

I called disney and asked they said that the discount is only offered when you are on board. I do not want to wait and pay more. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

WE live 1147miles from WDW....what part of the hoosier state do you live.
Was up at 5am this morn. and did the same,....little time later , got 5 or 6 in. more.Besides that my heatpump/ A. C. went out on our 4 season sun room .And 6 am in the morn. the temp. its going down to -11 below.
It's funny you should ask about 2012 cruises [we have an eastern one in May 2012] I did a "mock-up"booking on our cruise and the price came down around $215.00....I am calling DCL tommorrow and get some credit. The same thing happen in 09 on our western cruise, that credit was over 900 dollars. It's wise to keep checking.
I would if it was me , wait, book on board, You will get 10% off your cruise plus on board credit....I think 7 day cruises are $200.00 OBC....I think.I'll find out 4-U tomorrow. It's a "tier" type of OBC credit. After your first cruise , you guys become SILVER C C club members, We, [Ithink it takes 5cruises] are GOLD Cc club members and after 10 cruises you become Platnum CC club memembers.........Free dinner at APOL.....:yay:

I am having a BAD BAD BAD day. Everywhere I turn, im Hemmoraging money! Today? My transmission (warrenty on the rebuild expires in five days) tried to bite the big bullet! I could not figure out why my transmission coolant line was leaking a drop here and a drop there. Decided to take it into my transmission guy. Greg takes ONE LOOK at it, and goes "OH EXPLATIVE! That aint good!" keep in mind, every time Greg says this, I hear Cha-ching, Cha-ching, Cha-ching. Last year, that explative cost me 1200 more dollars than planned.
He gets the boys from the shop to take my truck in, and finds that my dear daddy, while trying to be helpful, had under-tightened the fitting on the transmission cooler lines when he changed my radiator. Me- "did you get it all the way tight?" Dad- "of COURSE I did, I'm not stupid!" The shop boys? "uhhh, we got two full turns on that fitting. It was BARELY on there"
The loose fitting caused dirt and debris to infiltrate that coolant line hose. This caused the "ball-check valve" to get stuck in the closed position. No flow of ATF fluid from the transmission to the cooler. Hot transmission. Transmission oil PURPLISH. Tranny oil BURNT beyond belief!
Quick answer? Try a tranny flush (190 bucks) and see if it STILL shifts properly after. Two choices after that. Remove the ball in the Ball check valve, or buy a new coolant hose, and risk the same issue later. I let them pull the ball out of the valve. 1.5 hours of labor, and 18 quarts of ATF fluid later, and my truck shifts beautifully, the drip is no longer happening, and I could skin my dad! * so much for thinking I was getting "more" money than normal this week, for working my tail off covering two others shifts last week..........

We live in northwest Indiana. Thanks for the info on booking. Just got the last of the snow off the drive. I hope that is it for the winter wonderland.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

:eek:OH Wow Naomi, sorry to hear about the vehicle problems I hate when stuff like that happens and it's always at the most in-opertune times and just when you think you have "extra" money:sad2:. But it softens the blow when it doesn't end up costing as much as originally thought. Keep your chin up!

CruiseLady: We were considering another cruise in Nov '11, we booked it in October '10 so we could get the specific staterooms we wanted. When we're onboard in May, I'm going to check into "re-pricing" our current accommodations. I've read that they "may" do that. I'm going to try. If they can't, it's OK because we got the staterooms we wanted and they wouldn't be available to if we waited and they're more expensive now....

:cool1: It's a small world after all.............it's a small small world. :cool1: which direction from Lake central ?

I wanted to book a stateroom with the porthole. It is only a few dollars more now but by May these rooms will probably be history. To go in June2012 I need the less expensive room. I ask Disney if I book on board and I have already paid a deposit on another cruise can I transfer the deposit. She said Yes.:banana::banana:

Thanks for the offer of tissues. So far I havent cried, but I MAY cry when I pay the rest of the cruise off tommorrow afternoon. I did wind up kicking the truck. On a better note, Im also buying a 91 honda civic tommorrow from one of my friends, he is asking 750, im offering five. HE thinks the transmission is shot. I however, know better. It needs a CV axel.... an 89 dollar part. His wife drives miss daisey and is very gentle on the car, no transmission or clutch issues were going on, before they replaced the Axel on the drivers side. Joanie drove around a right hand turn, heard a clunk, and the car wouldnt go. Transmission guy would bet his buiseness on it! LOL Im willing to take the gamble, simply for the possibility of better gas mileage!

We once had a 91 accord.......samething , CV joint went on it also.
I bought it for a "song & a dance" also. It had a non actual mile title. So I called the people who traded it in on a new one. The little old lady told me , that we had to be trueful. So I ask what do you mean, she said we use to motor home RV alot now we are too old to do so and we would pull the car in back of the motor home on a front wheel pull dolley. That is why it was titled non actual miles, she said it had more miles on it than it read. Little did she know that it being front wheel drive and up on the dolley while pulled all those extra miles went only on the back tires of which there where new one on the car when i bought it. A great little car, with non-actual miles.
