Dream: May 22, 2011

I just booked our first cruise ever for this sailing!!! We just got back from WDW a couple of weeks ago and I can't wait to go back!! I don't think I can wait that long!!!

It's also hard to plan that far out in advance because there is always the chance that my DH could get called up (he's military). So I'm holding out hope that these dates end up working out.

We've got cabin 7675 which is kind of cool because that's mine and DH's birth years and we'll be celebrating our 35th birthdays. :woohoo::banana:

hrs97 - Thanks for joining us! Congrats on the birthday celebrations too, what a way to celebrate :thumbsup2

Here's hoping that your DH doesn't get called up :wizard:

Thanks for the welcome everyone

We are looking forward to this trip. My son is so excited about it.

It is going to be a long year and a half wait hearing him asking when are we leaving again every other day :woohoo:

I just got my confirmation in the mail today and it looks like my original booking went through even though my computer froze so we're in room 9049! It looks like there are a lot of us on deck 9!:cool1:

hrs97 - Howdy neighbor :goodvibes

We're literally right next door. You're not adjoining to our room, but you can't get much closer. I'm in 9547.

Just booked it today
cabin 5009

Hey! Fellow Louisiana folks! :goodvibes

Nice to see a few more Disers are going the same time we are. I'm a teacher and will likely have to take the last week of school off for this trip. I haven't broken the news to my co-workers yet. :rolleyes1 But my little pre-k kiddos will have gone home for the last time the Friday before so it's doable. This will probably be the last cruise we will take with all 4 of our younger 4 kids still at home. Still hoping my oldest son and his family will join us but so far they haven't booked.

We are counting down to our next trip to WDW in March right now so I'm not getting too wired about this trip yet. After March, that count down will begin for sure!

Is anyone ,after our 4-day cruise staying over for a B-2-B cruise? This will be our 1st B-2-B. Will be on deck seven up front center window, cabin 7000both cruises.

Husurdady - I will be very jealous come the 26th when the 2nd half of your trip starts! Is the 2nd half a 3 day or one of the new 5 day cruises?

Any guesses on when they'll release more information on the new ships? I just watched one of the old Disney Cruise shows on the travel channel and I'm dying to get more info on the Dream. I know they're holding out to keep us excited, but I'm ready.

Hi DVCCRUISER76, you can always book and come with us on our 3day-[b2b]second part cruise. I checked your rm. 9547 for the b2b, sorry it was taken but there are still some in that cat.10a left. Don't know when we will be getting more Info. Hey! not to change the subject and all,but guess who works at DVC booking office...........times up. My DS new girl friend,he was down over the holidays to she her.The building [He's got pic's] is not what I pictured it to be.He took her to work one day.

My mother posted earlier about it being my birthday on the cruise (this is her DD :tink: ) but I have a question.

I'm bringing my boyfriend :lovestruc with us, and he is really picky about his attire. He's not a polo/kahki/slacks type of person, more of a structured button down shirt/dark sleek jeans type of person. I know the attire is dress casual, and I've been on both the magic and wonder, it's just me personally, I would never wear jeans and such to dinner.

What do you think about his attire? He says he will dress nicely when going to Palo, so I'm just more worried about the dining, because I don't want to be one of those people who A) looks out of place because he can't dress properly, or B) not eat at the restaraunts since it will be the first time being on this ship.

Please help?
I've seen the outfit he wants to wear, and it's an outfit that does look very nice, and we usually go out to eat to Olive Garden with him wearing it. (Not comparing Olive Garden standards to Disney standards at all though.)

I apologize now that I tend to ramble. LOL.

Husurdady - Very nice :thumbsup2 Does your son live in FL? I take it that's where she lives if she's working for DVC, though I could be wrong. More importantly, does she have any good insider information to share with your son or the rest of your family? Dinners must be interesting, I'd probably talk her ear off the whole meal.

AAOSAM2 - Hmmmm I've been on the Magic and Wonder and the only restaurant that I think you'd have a problem with would be Palo, which I think you said wasn't an issue b/c he'd dress up for that. Also, if there was a formal night, which I doubt there will be on a 3, 4 or 5 night cruise on the Dream. I did also read that there may be a 2nd adult only restaurant like Palo, so that too may require different attire. I wouldn't sweat it out, you'll probably never see the other cruisers again, so if they look at you funny, look right back ;)

We booked the Dream 2 weeks ago on the Wonder!! I cannot wait! Doing the DREAM :dance3: I even started a thread for it!! :yay:

Yes mylittleprincess welcome aboard :cool1:

I loved watching the link that you posted. We must be due for some more announcements surrounding the Dream soon. I'm interested in hearing about the rumored new adult restaurant next to Palo.

Hiya...we're offically booked! Switched from the 15th to the 22nd so we can see POTC 4 while onboard and so we could get 11C GTY cabins in the hopes of getting upgraded! It's our 2nd Disney cruise and my in-laws 1st!!!
Me, dh, MIL, FIL, kids will be: ds...just turned 12, dd 8 1/2 and ds almost 4!
We are so super excited!

Hello fellow cruisers! I am the daughter of AAOSAM2 (who posted a question earlier) well... I have another question, if anyone could please answer. =]

So, I'm turning 21 on the second day of our cruise (which is why I'm going :cool1: ) and I was curious. Will they know of my birthday?
Like, I've been reading that something on the KTTW card has something about age on it. Does that mean it will say 20? or my birthday? If it has my age, would I have to go to the desk on my birthday (at midnight of course haha) and have them change it so I can have my 21st drink at Skyline or what is it, Pink?
I'm just so confused. It's been about 3-4 years since my last cruise, and I can't remember anything about the KTTW card.
Any insight would be FANTASTIC.
:hippie:

Trying to decide between this and June 3 (4night) or May26 (3 night) for our first ever cruise. It will be me, dh, dd (will be 9) and ds (1 on June 1- as long as planned csection goes as planned! LOL!).

This one is cheaper then the June 3rd one and 3 nights is just way too short;)
