Good morning everyone.
Husurdady - you're such a wonderful vocalist.....I heard that little ditty all the way over here in PA - you must have a powerful voice...

Jim - I did get to see those pictures of the Dream.. It looks absolutely beautiful. It's a shame that the link was taken down. The chandelier in the main atrium is breath taking.
I am anxiously waiting to see the back of the ship where our stateroom is, to see how they handled the veranda separation. In the last picture I saw, all 3 staterooms back there were "open" with no partitions between the verandah's. I'm sure that has changed, I just want to see it.

It's not too snowy here we only have an inch or two on the ground, but we are supposed to get some today, it's just been fairly cold, not as cold as MT though.
Naomi, what's wrong, still the problems from that fall, or do you have one of the many "bugs" that are out there floating around? We've all had one that is sort of a cold, a bit of a sore throat, and just a general "crappy" feeling.

Yeah, I'm ready for some warmer weather. Hoping to get a couple days that are a bit warmer when we head to Myrtle Beach, but not counting on it. DH cannot stand the cold weather. He'd move south without a moments hesitation if I gave the go ahead.

Have the Christmas shopping mostly completed and wrapped. Just have to pick up Don's gift.....He decided that he wants a leaf blower so he doesn't have to rake leaves anymore, just blow them into a pile and let the township come along and suck them up into their truck.....that man's getting lazy

I'm so ready to spend a lovely warm evening (it better not even think about raining on our outing) sitting by the pool with all of you and enjoying a beverage of choice after stuffing ourselves with delicious seafood. mmmmmm, life is good.

HenLady, I'm okay really..... Just before TG I got diagnosed with a double ear infection and sinus infection (insert party dancing here) that took 12 days of antibiotics to "get rid" of...... Never really did get all the way over that...... I'm debating going to the Dr again, or letting my body tough it out. Im off work till thursday anyway, so I might just stay home, and see how it goes......
Took Chance to school a few minutes ago, on about 5 inches of heavy wet snow.... No biggie, but lots of stupidity in front of and behind me, and someone almost slid into me in the school parking lot........ Tow companies are having a blast up here..... just sat evening, on rainy roads, there were 39 reported slideoffs in a 15 mile radius from Missoula proper..... waiting on the numbers for this morning!
For all of you who grocery shop? Please let your cashier acknowledge you before you shout your phone number....... What is going on while they are acknowledging you is unlocking their cash register! The whineing, and the grumpy-ness the weekend before Christmas shoppers is staggering!

Henlady, I agree with Don. I too am a leaf blower man, but I still use a shovel for the snow.

Merry Christmas Yall! Busily watching the family scramble for their last minute gifts! I bought stocking stuffers today, and picked up Chances iPod and Grandpas iPod..... Showed DS grandpas gift so that he knew what he would be wrapping when we got home. Had kiddos shuffle in the OTHER pocket...... Got home, handed Chance a shuffle to wrap..... he goes "uh mom, how did it turn green?" Grandpas was silver, Chances was green. Dangit! I handed him the one from the wrong pocket!
I decided to let him just have it right now, as I really don't want to foster a culture of lying, even little white lies (beyond of course santa, tooth fairy, and easter bunny.) It turns out it was a GOOD thing that I messed up like this. Fought with it for an hour before I realised I had to update my iTunes software (GRRRRRR /rant)
BEST THING EVER about screwing up the gift? Kiddo belting out "Do the Bartman" at the top of his lungs, totally unaware that we could hear him! I will, of course, be the dutiful momma, and get a video of it!

I don't see that happening Don, although I would definately be "Hall", and Poison is way better looking than Cher so that won't work. I can see you doing some Johnny Mathis though. "Chances Are". Or how about Rod Stewart "If You Think I'm Sexy"?

We just can't wait to leave on Jan. 9th. We're driving right to the port to see our Dream ship before we take our son to "the world" so he can start his College Program. If we're lucky maybe they'll be giving tours of her.

I've had enough of the snow, hopefully the Fla. weather will warm up by then. We keep seeing more pictures of her and can't wait to board. I'll bring back some pics.

Hi Everyone. Hope you all had a great Christmas, we did. The grandson got everything a 3 1/2 year old could possibly hope for.

Don loved his leaf blower/vac/mulcher. He actually is waiting for a bit of snow so he can try it out on the walk.

Now, as for this singing thing, I'm not much of a singer, it's a good thing that with karaoke, not many people are very good. But you give Don a few beers and his mp3 player and he thinks he can sing up a storm, unfortunately for those having to listen to him, it's a storm you wish would blow over quickly

Lucky you Jim, getting to see the Dream so soon. I'm looking forward to seeing those pictures.
If you can, try to get one or 2 of the very aft section - deck 6 if you can. I'm anxious to see how they did the verandah's back there as that's where we're staying the next 2 cruises. Thanks.

We're heading to Myrtle Beach in a couple of days for the New Years Holiday.
It looks to be decent weather - upper 50's, which suit Don and my brother just fine for a couple of rounds of golf and me and SIL for some outlet shopping. And of course, we'll be eating LOTS of seafood.

I know you deal with numbers a-lot doing taxes and all , but how did you marry such a young Man..........just KIDDIN' , we all know you meant DYLAN and not DH. IT's nice being retired.......book cruises and pay to much in taxes.

I know I've been such a slacker. I joined the WISH board biggest loser thread last September and was happy to lose all the weight I wanted to lose, but that thread moves darn fast. I had all I could do to keep up with it and everything else.

We just finished our end of year tax planning run and my boss leaves for vacation next week, so that'll be my 2 week calm before the storm.

HA, I didn't even realize that I wrote DH, my son must be keeping me up more than I thought


I was watching the prices/points charts like a hawk and was all set to book the same week on the Fantasy for 2012 and 2 things turned me off. First, the points were a little higher than I had hoped. I was about 13 points shy of being able to book so then I was tossing the idea around about buying the one time use points, or paying cash for Dylan, or getting a lower category room (sorry I just love the split bathroom). Then I read the itinerary and was bummed that Key West isn't on it anymore and the more I got to thinking about it, we decided to go with actual WDW in 2012 instead and do the Fantasy in 2013.


I was going to wait until Dylan was 4 or 5 for WDW, but I've been suffering from withdrawals, so 3 1/2 it is.

Plus I figure we'll be able to check out the Dream before we book for 2013 and then I'll know if we like our room location/set up or not.

It was odd, the same 4 day cruise on the Dream in the same category in 2012 is 13% more in points than 2011. I'm guessing the large number of bookings and interest in the Dream for 2011 drove the points charts back up for 2012

But that's okay, it'll all work out. It does seem funny though that I may actually book my May 2013 cruise before I can even book my December 2012 trip to WDW. Silly timeshare rules.

How is your family doing? Is your son still seeing the same girl?

bellaDisneydncr -I see that you reside in Pittsburgh.

I'm only from near Pittsburgh, but I claim it as my home city. It is absolutely amazing. If I wasn't set on moving to Orlando after graduation, I'd be moving into the city for sure.

Bella welcome to our cruise! The second cabin in our party is also celebrating college graduation! This is going to be awesome!

You'll have to let me know what cabin they are in- I'll drop a special little graduation gift at their fish
