DREAM - June 6, 2013 - 3 Nights

So glad you were able to get the discount!!:cheer2:

We went from a 4C to a 5B and saved about 1000. We went to a regular size balcony from a family size balcony.

What cabin category did they give you?

I've been packing all day as I work so much I can only do it on the weekend!

We leave June 1 for Disney and then to the cruise!!

Only a few more days!:cool1:

We went from an 07A to an 05C. More mid ship and no obstructed balcony. My refund ended up being $897 for the three of us, so that will be rolled into an onboard booking for an adult only cruise in November. I'm excited, most of my packing and the packing for the little guy is done. Since this is his Birthday surprise, I've been hiding things away for him for about a month and a half now.

I don't see the FL resident rate online. Was it released only to the travel agents? My agent has been away for her other job this weekend, so I'm not sure she's seen this. Didn't want to hassle her over I if it's already gone.

Also, this is our first cruise. DH will be turning 35 on the day we debark in Port Canaveral. Our girls are 5 and 10.

Sorry to be a pest, but thèy let you switch cabins and apply the FL resident rate without penalty? Our agent stated she didn't think it would be possible this late in the game to switch.

I called DCL directly and asked if the Florida Resident rate was available and could be applied to our reservation. The person I spoke with on the phone was very pleasant and upgraded our room without me even asking.

Welcome!

Your travel agent probably has to change it for you but if they are still unavailable on Monday you can try to call yourself.

The rate is not showing up on the website. I received an email on Friday from all seasons travel that showed me the rate. My brother has a travel agency so I called him immediately and started harassing him. He got us a cabin in a category that was available and saved us tons of money. We did not receive any penalties or fees to change it!:cheer2:

We were very excited about it!

Good luck! I sure hope you can get the rate tomorrow.:cheer2:

I called DCL myself around 6:00 today to check on availability for our friends.
Cabins were still available then.

We got our cabin changed from a category 09B on Deck 2 to a 05A on Deck 10 and saved more than $700! Amazing!

Woohoo!!:cheer2:

That is awesome! And you will have a balcony! You will be spoiled!:cool1:

This is the first time we were able to change our cabin at the last minute and get the Florida resident rate.
We are super excited to save the money!
I told my hubby, more money for another trip!:rotfl2:

Hi, everyone! Our departure date is coming up fast... We are soooo excited!!! If anyone is interested in doing a simple fish extender exchange I wanted to start a list... It's me (mom) and my son (age 11) and my friend (mom) and her son (age 11). Our cabin is 8514.

I've never done a fish extender list before so let me know if I've left out anything important. If you would like to participate just give ages, gender, and cabin number. I will pull together all the info and post a final list June 1. As of that date we'll consider it "officially" closed. I'm bringing a hodgepodge of little gifts that will work for most any family to keep it simple!

Hello

We received our packet from the travel agent with our luggage tags.
They have our old cabin number on them. The agent said they have a barcode
That is scanned and not to worry about it. Did your travel agent say anything to you about the tags? Do you know if you can print luggage tags online?
I need to call DCL and find out.:surfweb:

We got our packet prior to changing our room, so it has the old room number. I will call and ask tomorrow or Monday since we booked directly with DCL. I assume room changes and port upgrades are fairly common and DCL knows how to handle these kinds of things...and I can't imagine the people in our previously assigned room would want our stuff.

We were just discussing Fish Extender gifts!! This will be our 2nd cruise, we are so excited!! My daughter is graduating next Monday and we will be going with family and friends for a graduation cruise before she heads off to college!

How many will be in the fish extender exchange?

So far just two cabins... 8514 - 2 adults (F/F) and 2 boys both age 11
7572 - 2 adults (F/M) and 1 boy age 5

We would love for more cruisers to join in the fun!!

My family will be taking our first ever cruise and it will be on the Disney Dream. My wife, myself and 7 year old daughter hope to enjoy ourselves! We will be flying in from San Antonio and stay with family in Palm Bay the night before.

Hello. My family and friends just booked yesterday and we sail in 8 days! So exciting. It's me, DH, DD (age 8-almost 9), friends (DH, DW), and his parents. Excited!

No worries at all with stateroom changes and your luggage making it to you. If you know your new stateroom number, you can alter the tags (don't cover barcode). If you don't get a chance before you get to the port, the porters can alter for you. We had an unexpected upgraded a few cruises back. We had dropped off our luggage, went to check in, and found out we had been upgraded. Our luggage made it to us just fine. DCL has it all figured out...your only job once dropping off luggage is relax...you're on a Disney Cruise!

I know we won't even get luggage tags, as we booked yesterday. We will fill out at the port and head on to the ship. :-)
