Dream July 19, 2011 - 5 Night Bahamas!

I have Haley listed as a woman since she's 18, but I can change that if she likes! ;)

No lets leave her as a woman since she wanted to wait to go on this cruise until she was 18.
Once you all see her, you'll probably think she is a kid. She's just a little bitty thing. I am afraid that when she's at the adult pool some will think she's not old enough to be there.

One problem though - I just read you have to be 48" to ride the aqua duck. I just measured my little one - 45" - uh -oh! Don't worry she just told me - I'll grow 3 inches by July so I can go on it. She's my wild one - loves speed and isn't afraid of going fast. I never dreamed she wouldn't be big enough to go on it. Does anyone know if that is correct? She can't even imagine not going on it. I need to find 3" platform water shoes or something.

Did you see this discussion yesterday - it seems they are still tinkering with the limits - right now it's 42" to ride tandem. Hopefully, it won't change back by July again....

That's fantastic -I didn't see that thread - I'll look it up.

Has anyone read about the teen and tween club ages?

The DCL info on the website says the teen club 14-17 & the tweens are 11-13. (But in one of the paragraphs for the teen club it says 13-17. But, at least several other places it says 14-17.) My daughter turns 14 in May so she's good to go...

Hmmm... This should be interesting since one of mine will be 1 month and 1 week short of 14 and will not want anything to do with the 11 yr old sibling.

I feel like everyone else must have very interesting lives since I've been stalking this board all week with nothing else better to do and have way too many posts. :rotfl:

My 13 yr old isn't happy that he can't go into the teen club. Always in a hurry to grow up! I told him to enjoy the new tween area and next year he will be able to go into the teen club.

The board is slow, but as final pymt day approaches I bet it starts to heat up!

And the separate pool is at the teen area not the tween area isn't it? My 13 yr old is equally unhappy.

Just got home from work - I work in finance - always late nights the first week. I just have to keep reminding myself, I love my job, I love my job - even if only because it helps me pay for cruises....:lmao:

my husband has been working irratic shifts over the last month sleeping odd hours. I've convinced myself I can't get anything done while he's asleep because I'd hate to wake him up. Lots of time on the computer!

KIDS CLUBS!!!

Noahsmom & Dustermom02

They will probably let you DS and DD in the older club. My daughter was just short of the age limit and they allowed her. They said they usually make exceptions for those kids that are close to the age requirement. I am now having trouble with my 10 yr old DS who think he should be allowed in the EDGE. My DD says NO WAY!!!

I want Noah to try out the Tween club before he tries to get into the teen group. It's different on Dream and he needs to give it a chance. He's always in such a hurry to grow up!

Finally - hockey season is OVER!!! Now I have more time to concentrate on vacation. Noah's team made it to state and they finished 6th. The boys were disappointed when they lost the last game but we pointed out that there are many teams that didn't get to play this weekend and they should be proud to be 6th in the whole state!

just wondering when is the "cut off date" to sign up for the FE?? would like to know when i can expect a "final" count!! i gotta get busy making/buying fun stuff!!

A cut off date is really for us to decide. The last FE I participated in didn't have one. Many people brought/shipped extra for any late additions. I suspect we will get more people as we get closer, but this board has been pretty slow and we are getting close - final pymts are only about month away.

So - question to all participating in the FE:
Do you want a cut off date for joining the FE group?
If so, what should it be: 1 month prior sail date, 2 week prior to sail date, other?

I'll start the vote:

If so, what should it be: 1 month prior sail date, 2 week prior to sail date, other? 1 month would be good for me

The talk of a FE cutoff reminded me I needed to get our information listed. My in-laws are excited about participating. MIL/FIL sailed with us on our first Disney cruise and there wasn't a gift exchange.

5048 Kevin, Kristy, Nolan (6), Clark (4)
5050 Bob & Virginia
5052 John, Monica, Mike (16), Maggie (14)

A cutoff would be a good idea. The Houston Livestock show & Rodeo ends this week. It's a great place to pick up all things Texan, but it doesn't look like we're going to make it there. I have to come up with plan B.

Monica I have everyone listed - thanks for the info!!

How does everyone one want the list. Numbers of cabins, number of adults/children/male/female, names?

At this point we have 20 staterooms, 16 men, 26 women, 12 boy, 16 girls.

Hi all I need to change my cabin status. My DD18 will not be able to go on the cruise:sad1: (as well as my DH and DS 16, they were another cabin) It will now be just the three of us. Myself, my DD 12, and my DS 8.
We now have a cabin number to give you as our GTY status has been updated we are in cabin 8643. thank you Robin

Thanks Tink for the update. Sorry your so many in your family can't come but glad you can still join us. Can you give me your names so I can add them to the list. My FE gift is better with a person's name. If you'd rather not include your first names that's ok.

i would vote for one month as the cutoff. That gives everyone time to plan everything out.
