Dream given by my daughter!

WOW! That's what the magic is truly all about! You should be very proud of your daughter! :thumbsup2

That was a wonderful, kind gesture your daughter had done. <sniff> Just about had me on the verge of tears reading it

When my son does something along that nature, I'm all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that my DH and I are going a good job of raising our son. Bet you were one proud mom!

WOW What an amazing and caring daughter you have!!!!YOu should be very proud!!!!!!!!!

Wow, I've really got to stop reading all the wonderful posts about DISers sharing the pixie dust and magic. I've never cried so much reading the boards as I have this past week. How very sweet of your daughter!

MY keyboard is a little wet right now :)

What a great story. Thanks for sharing.

What a precious daughter you have. You have done a wonderful job raising her and yes, your Mother is proud of how you have done that as well.

If only there were more people like your wonderful daughter (and you, of course!). What a great world this could be, if we would all just follow that example. Isaiah 11:6 says "....and a little child shall lead them."

I think a river is beginning to form in our computer room - tears here, too. What a loving, caring thing to do!

:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: for your daughter!

:love1: Your daugter sounds wonderful! Kudos to her and to you! I'm sure that she is a reflection of you!

congrats to a great parent.
you taught her well. here is a popular sang but here it is anyway
it is not the presents or the gifts it is the love within our hearts that makes christmas great.
your daughter reached in her heart and moved for the special boy. you raised her and her heart well. that is one moment you will never forget.
once again congrats to a wonderful parent. you raised her well you deserve a pat on the back. :thumbsup2

Just wanted to share a memory of a dream my daughter gave to someone. We were at the Christmas Party last year and had our curb side staked out about an hour before before the parade. Just when the parade started, a severely handicapped child pulled up behind us in his wheelchair. We really didn't notice him for the first few minutes, until we heard his mother speaking to him (we all turned) and saw her caressing him and telling him not to worry that Santa was on his way. Before I had a chance to blink, up jumps my daughter and tells his mother to scoot him right in (of course we all got up then) and gave the family our space. A couple minutes later, Santa is riding by us and looks down at the little boy, points directly at him and says " and a very, very Merry Christmas to you my little sweetheart" with such a caring and loving voice. (Now that had to be the REAL Santa!). That little boy had the most marvelous grin on his face. Of course by then, we are all wiping tears. His mother hugs my daughter and says "you don't understand what a wonderful gift you just gave my son". Now THAT was a magical moment! But what she didn't realize was that I too received some of that magic by seeing what my daughter did.

thats all i can say- but FANTASTIC! another random act of kindness. :thumbsup2

What a great story! I bet you are still beaming, as is the child your daughter gve that wonderful gift too. I love hearing stories like yours! :goodvibes

That was truly wonderful. Tears here too, by the way! It brings me such joy to know that parents are still out there who raise their children to be compassionate, loving beings.

Thank you so much for that wonderful story!
:grouphug:

God bless you and your daughter because children learn from what they live. So mom must be a kind person :goodvibes.

As a parent of a disabled 2 year old child (until a month ago when he died unexpectedly) you have no idea how appreciated it is when someone does something for your child. It is very hard to manage in general and so many people are so self absorbed that they don't lend a hand or even hold a door in some cases! You learn to really respect people that do the right thing.

I love it! Such a beautiful heart your daughter has! Everyone especially the child and mom will carry that moment in their hearts forever. That is so beautiful!
