Welcome to cruise! We will be having a social greeting on the sail day in the Roy Suite. We are also organizing the Fish Extenders (small gift giving exchange). If you are interested in either activity please let me know and I'll put you on the list.

How old are your boys? I have four coming with me: two boys 12 and 11; two girls 6 and 4.

It is going to be a wonderful time for everyone!

Hi there everyone:
I am so sorry, I have completely dropped the ball on the FE sign up. Without sharing too much information my father passed last week and I have not been my usual self.

I currently have chudson, sudswoman and apriltwins on the list. I know 54disneyfun and cherylsue indicated they would send their information to me and I am unable to find it in the abyss of my email.

So, everyone who is interested, please email me at trish@wimmerclinical.com. I know from reading other boards that many people start WAY in advance. So I will post a new listing every month on this board. If we begin to have many sign-ups I'll start breaking it down so no-one has to provide gifts for more than a handful.

Also, don't forget, we want to have a meet and greet on the sailing day even if you don't want to participate in the Fish Extenders. From what I can see from the posts we are going to have a great opportunity for all of us to make friends... We have ages ranging from 4 to 60ish. Single, married, friends, etc!!!1

Again so sorry for being a slacker and having to ask for your information again.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Don't worry about the FE exchange for now, there's still plenty of time left before the cruise

Take care

Chris

Hi,
I'm not sure what we are doing on the first day when you are planning your social greeting as there is a big group of us but when we all go our own ways me and my husband and the boys would love to meet up with you all. My boys are 5 and 2 and we also have with us my little brother who is 16 and my two nieces who are 3 and 4.
We are all so excited and really looking forward to meeting everyone

Becky

Hi, I have noticed that quite afew of you have been on Disney cruises before and you also have children. I was wondering if a push chair (stroller) would be necessary for my DS who will have just turned 2 when we sail. We were thinking of renting one when we got to WDW after the cruise but then are not sure if we should just plan to bring our own as we may need to on the cruise!
Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated.

I am sure everyone opinion might be different but, having cruised with kids starting at 18 months old... we always carried a stroller with us untill they were about 4 years old.

When nap time comes, it is nice for mom and dad to stroll around the ship. Sometimes at dinner time, they fall asleep before dessert... again the stroller comes handy :)

Same things for port of calls. And of castaway Cay, you can walk around the island and a stroller helps those little feet ...

Again that is my opinion... it all depend on the sleep schedule of your kid and on his capacity to walk without asking to be held too often.

With the new bed that are higher, you will have plenty of space for a stroller.

Have a nice week everyone,

Here in Canada ( montreal area) , our schools ends thursday afternoon :cheer2::cheer2: Cant wait !!!!

Hi Becky:
That's sound great. I talked to a few other cruisers and they indicated around 3:00 right before the Muster drill at 3:45 works out well for most people. It will be in the Roy Suite and I'll have drinks (juices, water, sodas, sparkling champagne, champagne, beer and wine). I'll also have some light snacks for the kids because they seem to eat non-stop!

Anyone who has little ones that might be scared by crowds at first are welcome to hang out on our deck for the sail away too. Looking forward to meeting you all too!

I just have to share a funny. I wasn't paying attention to the entire layout of the ship before. But today I noticed that the balcony from my room has a full view of the teen only sun-deck. If your teens are out too late feel free to stop by and shine a flashlight on the them from my balcony. My eldest is a pre-tween but it would be entirely too funny if he were a teen and went there to hide from me and I could sit on the balcony sipping coffee and watch him all night.

That is too funny! My DD would just melt into the floor with embarrassment if I did that.....but it would be sooooo worth it! :rotfl2:

Verrry sneaky:lmao:. I'll have to remember this if we should sail again when the kids are teens. Believe me DH would sit out there with a flashlight.

Right now we're also at that pre-tween stage. DD reminds me everyday:

I'm not a child anymore, in one more year I'll be a tween!!! :cheer2:

My dad used to sit inside the front door when curfew came around. Once the car pulled up he'd start turning the porch light off and on. If we didn't exit the car immediately he would shine one of those search and rescue lights into the car and blind us! The good old days!
